I have a 04 tige 24v, we were towing the boat to a camping spot last summer 10 hrs away and the Bimini strap came out of the holder it was in and the metal clip smacked the tower for the entire trip. Needless to say it destroyed the finish on the tower and needs to be re done. I am looking for suggestions on how to re finish. The easiest way would to re spray it with the same color paint or whatever they use. I am thinking about possibly removing the tower and having it powder coated or maybe have it sprayed with line-x. What would be the pros or cons with both these options? Could either be done without removing the tower? Has anyone done it?

I'd probably do powdercoat. You'll have to remove the tower to do it since it has to be baked on, but in the end will be look the best and like it came from the factory that way. Plus PC offers a ton of color options and is usually fairly reasonable price. I had the control boxes and perches done on my motorcycle and it was only $50, but I did all the teardown on them myself. That tower would probably be a couple hundred bucks, which isn't too terrible considering the size. But I'd make sure to take it to a PC shop that specializes in bigger jobs like car frames, roll cages, etc. They'll have the capability to do it quickly and most likely at the best prices.
