I had the same problem Josh. The hardest is part is timing. You can't throw it too early or too late. The hardest part is looking back behind you. This will create a lot of rotation. I was trying to flip without bending my head back, causing me to flip using arm strength which was really ugly.

Tantrum... damn spinning into it, or pulling the handle has added up to a world of hurt, and same with a hs 180, the 180 at least I'll get for awhile but then i'll loose it, and loose it good.

HS360.... try holding the short handle w/ you inside hand and the main handle behind you back w/ your outside hand... always commit... the hardest falls i have had were on the HS360... hope this helps someone..

Tim, try grabing the blind 180 indy, it forces your chest forward and helps you land on your toes.

Thanks Randy, it pisses me off that I can land the BS180 by passing the handle, but just can't do it to blind. I'll work on the Indy next time out.

I was in a stage where hs 3s used to come and go. Everytime I got it back is was bigger and slower. It's all in your cut.

My $.02 - try yanking the rope harder at the top of the wake with your back hand and smoothly initiate the rotation. Like J-Rod was saying...make sure you take a decent cut at it. When I learned 3's I just went out and did like 10-15 (not exagerating) of them until it felt right. Luckily, I walked away that day and it still took a while after that to work out the kinks. Back on topic (other than the fashion air troubles )...one trick that would give me trouble is a hs roll to revert...I always landed on my heels. Would do the same thing on a half-cab roll initially, but now I can land that regularly and I haven't gone back to trying the reg roll to revert. Funny story though - the very first time I tried a hs roll to revert I landed it so smoothly...whatever...that's like the wake gods effing with you.

I'm with you J-Rod, the day I learned a HS 5 Joe Umali caught em both on tape and I landed the two I tried. After that it has been a pain in my arse. I do big grabbed 3's consistenlty but that 5 is a punk, it's just getting back on your toes that kills it for me. I'm getting them better but... After I broke my ankle HS Fronts have scared me, over them.

WOAH!!! I have never had a problem with a HS360. I got all the way around the first time and the handle was at my fingertips and the second time i stomped it. My first 360 attempt ever was a HS Blind 360. I don't use all those stupid terms like frontside or backside. I just say you throw it regular or you throw it blind. I stuck the Blind 360 the second attempt also. ALTHOUGH, IT HAS BECOME MY BASTARD TRICK. I don't have any problems with regular HS360. Hey Mike Murphy.....its cool bro, I can't stand TS anything. I am VERY LOPSIDED with my riding. Toward the end of last season i finally started trying to correct this problem. This year I am dedicating a month of doing nothing but TS....so i can try and catch up to all the stuff i can do on my HS. Backroll, years back, used to be a bastard of a trick but i think that goes for most people learning to do one i think simply because it is usually the first invert most people try. -Nate

Tantrum....I landed it once after a couple of trys. Now evertime I throw it I take it blind and can't figure out how to stop. I've watched videos and I do them on the tramp all the time. It is really starting to piss me off since I know I can do one because i've done it before.

I have a friend that goes to blind everytime and can't figure it out. I think he is turning his head back and it swings him around. I also come up a little short on the FR but have started changing my cut a little and I can tell that my landing is changing for the better. I will get it next year fo sho.

Two things make you spin. Pulling the handle, and turning your head. I think this usually happens on a tantrum when you try too hard to turn and square up at the wake.

Allen- As soon as I seen this I posted. It sucks I have had to do work at work the last few days!!!! KG and Gene- on a FR, cut in hard, back of your cut a lil at the wake (like a tantrum) and throw it hard try to over throw it. You want to land on your toes or you will never get it. I think it helps if you try to grab it indy of the wake. Good luck
