Yeah I've used Surf Nano also, with some success. There are two schools of thought on that. Hydrophobic like Rain-x but the surf nano products seem to be better suited to boards and Rain-x to glass and the hydrophilic like "secret weapon". Neither will make a crappy board into a good board, IMO as TSW notes, above.. I've used the Nano Surf and that works on boards with a gloss finish, like Inland Surfers, was negligible on any textured surface. I'm not sure if the secret weapon product is still available, but I couldn't tell the difference on anything I tried it on.
Both manufacturers claim to be "the" answer
Rain-X won't hurt the Ride to try it and it will eventually wear off.
