Anybody seen one of these? Does it exist or just hype? Pics?

It would be nice if they at least added some info and pics to the Tige website. They announce the boat and then NOTHING. Seems kinda lame. And their website still has problems....

Just as lame as the mysterious new XSTAR. No show at the boat shows.........

We represented the 24V at the Phoenix Boat show Jan. 9-12. It is deeper than the 23V with wrap around seating. If you have seen a 22V it is a stretched version of that boat with approx. 1.5" or 2" added in depth. It is much larger than any other Big V represented by our competitors. The boat was very well received by families that are into board sports and especially those families that venture onto big lakes like Powell or Mead. We have one in blue and one in black that will be here the first week in Feb. That boat will have the PCM ZR6 370 HP engine.

Bill at Waterski Specialty ran his 24V last week(dodging icebergs) and says it handles very similarly to the 22V. Equipped with the 6.2 Merc he reports 44 mph at high elevation with no bowrise! I am looking forward to getting my first one in stock in just prior to the February 21st Las Vegas Boat Show. This boat will tear up Lake Mead...

Well maybe you guys can put some pressure on Brett to get the website updated. Doesn't make a lot of sense to announce a new boat and ship it without having information available for the public.

The website still has some technical problems too. Click on Contact then click on <Back to Models.

Hopefully they'll have one at the LA boat show next month so I can check it out. Wouldn't mind moving up from my 20v!

Is The Slalom Shop gonna have one at the Dallas boat show?

Yes, Slalom Shop will certainly have a 24v in the show.

The 24V was present at the Seattle Boat Show. It's freakin' huge! Well, the hull's huge. It was raised so the interior was not in view...just the hull and its underside.

I have been in a 24V down at the Tige factory for it's lake test. Needless to say the interior is huge. It has a ton of freeboard and can seat a ton of people comfortably. I drove one with the new PCM excablibur (330 hp) and it had good hole shot for a boat of it's size. With 5 in the boat and pulling a boarder the wake was large and clean but would have been nice with an additional 1000lbs or so of ballast.
We ran against a 22V with the Merc engine in it and the 24V was quicker out of the hole with the PCM engine. Top speed was close with the 22V a little faster. If you are going to get a Tige get the PCM. It is a great engine. The Z06(370hp) would be perfect in that big boat. It would be great in the 22V.
Anyway, it is a great 23-24 foot boat. The new towers are rock solid and the boat was slicing thru 1 1/2' chop when we got away from the shore with ease. It will be a good big water boat.
Anyway at the Utah boat show Taylors Boats will be displaying a 24V with the Excalibur engine. It really is a nice boat.

I don't understand buying a huge boat like this.

To me it simply brings more ballast, more GAS consumption, less RIDING time, a bigger price tag and a harder resale.

My ideal crew size is 4; 3 is OK, 4 is OK and 6 is OK; yet, more than 6 is a massive exception. My 21' boat holds 6 to 8 people with ease and less than 5% of the time do I have more than 6 on the boat, and never would I really want more that 8 on the boat.

I don't understand optimizing for the exceptions.

I am disapointed that it only comes with the wrap around seating. We have a 23V with the two captain chairs and were looking forward to the same seating. It was the main reason we went with the Tige since it was the only wakeboard boat with that seating. I can't see choosing this over the 22V unless you live on Lake Powell.

I would think someone with several small kids would like this boat,it is deeper than the 22.We also have 500 miles of shoreline on our lake that gets rough on weekends.
I liked the captain's chairs also,but I think most
of the dealers ordered the 23V's with the lounge.

All the towers are Wake Design,I didn't want to confuse my customers this year so I just ordered
all the same.I will get Joe to post more photos from the B'ham Show later,We still have 9 boats to get out today so the World of Wheels can come
in and set up.

Checked out the dallas boat show. Seemed a little smaller this year. 24V looked good as expected. Checked out the new X-star too - the $80,000.00 price tag they were flashing was out of the ballpark for any ski or wakeboard boat in my opinion, but it looked great.

Lee is right the Navy Tige 24V has the Metcraft tower, that is another dealer's boat.Luanne at Tige sent me the photos from the factory.I was just looking at the interior.Sorry Lee! How did your Nashville show go? We had a record for the most people ever on Sat. at our show!

LEE ROCKS.............

The response to the 24V at shows has been phenomenal, it has really hit a niche with many families who want the size and depth that this boat offers. What is most impressive though is the on-water performance.
It is neck and neck in sales with our new 22v right now. If you would like a PDF file emailed on this boat with specs and options email me at brett@tige.com. Be happy to hook you up.

I thought I recognized that show as the Birmingham show. When I saw the Ski Club sign, it confirmed it. That is my local shop[ here in Montgomery. Wish I would have went to the show this year, but I can't buy another boat just yet.

I like the trailer that comes with the 2nd boat shown. :-) Where can I get one of those!

(Yes I know its what the dealer moves their boats around with. This was posted only in fun, not to knock these boats - they look good).

I am not picking at this boat, I am just asking a question, so forgive me.... The bow looks fairly crowded, are the seats wider than normal?
Plus, It does not look very big in the pics, what are the dimensions?
oh..save the yellow one for me.
Old    bigd            02-08-2003, 6:13 AM Reply
I't plenty big for a wakeboard boat. If you go much bigger it's sport boat time... I've got a 22i and the interior is massive compared to mine.
