This is my first attempt at setting up a system like this. Can anyone help me connect the dots?

Is the Clarion Amp just for reference, or are you actually using one?

What ever channels are running the 485 should be ran in Mono on the switch selection.

Check the WS website for frequency setting for the crossover on the P80s and 485. gains are all based on the output voltage of your signal source. Tim has a great tuning guide that can be found on a few threads from within the last couple weeks. Run a search or check the WS site.

Best guess without knowing the entire setup. Gains initially at minimum and adjust up as necessary. As for the HPF's your correct, but Tim might be able to chime in with where to set those as a baseline better than I could. Also there has been debate as to if the 485 sounds better fun in Stereo or Mono, but seems to be personal preference.

When you tune your system don't forget about the cross over frequency. Without hearing the speakers my gut says setting your crossover to 200 hertz would be good. You want to cut out the deep bass (20-200hz) because that takes the most power to reproduce and your amplifier is about half the RMS of your speakers. Your mids and highs should be able to get much louder without clipping. If you don't have a sub and like the bass then set it lower and adjust your gains so that a joe schmoe can't turn your stereo up all the way and clip your system into oblivion.

Also If you have a subwoofer make sure your other amplifier has the crossover set to the same frequency.

Good luck!
