It's been a long wait, and it's not over with yet, but I finally have pictures of my boat (23TWB). Pick it up next weekend.

Scott R, meet your boat's big brother.

Dude that thing looks awful! Needs some skulls or maybe a skeleton hand throwing up a big "WESTSIDE". Get with it. I'm glad I won't have to be seen in that thing!

Great looking boat! You will love the interior LED's. Used mine a ton over the weekend while at Lake Powell on the houseboat. Love the gel option you chose, that was my second choice after the all white X pattern that I ordered. Enjoy the ride!!!

SIC! Congrats! I love the style and the white, great design. I should hook you up with my buddy in KY, are you anywhere near KY Dam Marina?

I don't normally go to KY lake, but it's not too far from me. PM me his info. I'd be glad to give someone a pull and learn the hot spots on a new lake.

Jon - Yup you were right you did go pretty darn close to mine. Nice Nice Nice.....now time for rim update like little brother and you are good to go! Love it man....would be really cool to see our boats side by side!

ScottR, that's not my trailer, I am getting a BoatMate. However, mine will look pretty much the same as that minus the wheels. I went cheap and decided to go with 14" wheels.

Find a lake halfway between us and I'll meet you there.

Jon - Says you are in Kentucky. I am in Indiana and will be at Patoka lake (southern Indiana) in 12 days. Sunday-Saturday. 17th-23rd of June...

Your top line isn't black either is it? Looks grey...Mine is black but other than that very very similar.
Old     (hunter660)      Join Date: Aug 2007       06-07-2012, 9:52 AM Reply
It is supposed to be black. I think it just shows up grey in the pictures. My vinyl is the same way, what looks dark grey should be black.

I saw pictures of the boat you ended up buying at a boat show and called the dealer to see what colors it was and duplicated them.

Patoka is 2.5 hrs for me. I'm going to get the boat next weekend so I'll probably get it broken in a little closer to home. I ride until Nov though, so maybe we can get together later in the year.

Dealer just called and said he was done with the lake test. My boat is ready!!! 3 days, 12 hours, and 30 min till I pick it up.

I like it Drew. I think powder coating the tower inserts would make it better for minimal costs.

Nice wake, but your cupholders don't drain to the bilge.

Have you tried nose ballast yet? I'm in the F21 and the nose with 450 makes all the difference in the world.

I've got 300lbs of lead to try this weekend.

IMHO nose weight doesn't really make a difference on the 23 for wakeboarding (at least with factory ballast... never tried with more). the 23's weight is more biased towards the front than the 21' hulls. For instance, I've never ever had a porpoising issue on the 23 and we don't have a wake plate.

Surfing yes, wakeboarding, can't tell any difference with or without 4 100lb 14 y/os in the bow.

My son tried surfing for the first time this weekend. Getting the board under his feet while holding the rode was a bit tough for him so he decided to go for it on his knees.

Jon,

What's your surf setup for that last pic? The wave looks very nice.

Both stock tanks full, 1200# enzo style sac, trim plate at 50%, 11mph. I have not been out on every boat out there, nor am I an expert surfer, but this wave had more push than anything else I have been on to date. I had the board underwater up to my ankles a few times and still rode away from it. I have never done that behind any other setup.

Well, did he stand up on it?

Get those speakers installed?
Old     (hunter660)      Join Date: Aug 2007       07-02-2012, 7:13 PM Reply
He has not stood up yet, be he got comfortable riding on his knees.

Speakers are on, but I don't think the stock HU has enough voltage on the pre-outs. With the volume at 80% I can set the gains to max and I'm not near clipping yet. I don't want to go over 80% on the HU without a scope to make sure I'm getting a clean signal. I have a line driver here I may use. They sound GREAT, they just are not loud.... yet. They also only have 190 watts each right now.

I think I have a box design for the XS-12 figured out that will not require any cutting of the panel under the helm, I just want to run it by Tim.

On an completely unrelated subject, are there any good gel coat repair guys in your area? We had a mishap at the ramp.

I'm still not sold on that amp. LIke I said, I wasn't impressed with the last ones I installed. Hopefully you'll get it worked out.

I've got somebody that's real good. I use him on all boat repairs.

I'll email you his info....
