Just replaced my old sub with a JL W3 and need help tuning my amp, or at least where to start (single 4ohm sub bridged on the amp)... The below image is from my amps manual. Any ideas on what a good setting to start with and which ones to tune in which order? Thanks in advance.

Set the receiver to 75% of max volume. Set amp frequency to 40Hz. Play a song you listen to a lot and increase the gain knob until you start hearing distortion. Then back the gain down a notch. If you have filter set it to low pass (LPF).

Thanks for the info! My amp looks exactly like that pic, which knob is the gain and which is the frequency? Sorry for the noob questions, haven't messed with subs and amps in a while

Get yourself a SMD DD-1. Takes the guess work out of tuning.
