Thoughts on Randalls new board? It looks SICK, made here in the good ol USA, and its Vandall approved. But it seems like a lot of guys I talk to are moving back to their previous boards, for varying reasons. Sounds like most people are saying that it doesn't ride like they expected it to. I am taking one out for the first time this weekend, so hopefully I can add to the discussion, but what are your thoughts?

It's SUPER stiff and takes off like a bat-out-of-hell as soon as you get it on edge. It pops really predictably and lands reasonably soft too. I enjoyed riding the one or two times I took a set on it. I actually rode it without fins one time too and could still get it to stay on edge OK.

It's definitely a lock in and GO kind of board. Super sick.

I hated all the humanoids I have tried until I took about a weeks worth of sets on them. My brother had the same reaction. Now I love them! they ride different, thats for sure.

Even if you hate it give a few go arounds. I am curious to hear feedback.

It took my a LONG time to figure out the toeside edge on the 1up. But the Oshea, man, I LOVE my Oshea. Can't forsee myself getting anything different anytime soon.

Thanks for the input guys. Im looking forward to giving it a whirl, even though I have a feeling its too big. I have a 141 en route, so if anyone wants this 145 just let me know. I will post again after I take a few sets.

I might be interested in the 145. Trade a new Phase 5 Rio plus a little cash?

Interested to hear your thoughts Joe. I had a hell of a time riding that board. Just couldn't get it to work for me.

Love Humanoids gear! I mainly ride the Oshea and love it. The Oracle is a super playful board as well. Joe lmk how the Circus 141 rides.

update OP? How did you like it?

Sorry for the delay guys!

I didn't get to spend a ton of time on it, but I like the way it feels on the water. The 145 didn't feel as big as I thought it would. Its definitely very locked in, little to no play at all. You put it on edge, it goes. HARD. The pop felt good, but again I didn't get to spend a ton of time on it. I have a 141 now, so I am looking forward to getting on it and seeing the difference. I will keep you all posted!

Haven't ridden my friends but he loves his 145, probably more than any board he's had so far.

How do you like those new bindings with the gummy straps? I have ronix that fit great but always have to tighten my laces.
Old     (simplej)      Join Date: Sep 2011       08-30-2017, 6:12 PM Reply
They're super good. Hard to put on and that set up is on the heavier side but the hold and flex like nothing else I've ridden, and I've ridden everything.

The SS boots are also made by a snowboard boot manufacturer according to my sources so they fit, wear, and ride much better than the ronix, cwb, lf, HL boots I have owned.

How does the circus ride compared to the camel / O'Shea? I was on the oracle and now on the O'Shea but may want to change things up again but I LOVE my oshea

I have not ridden my buddies yet because his feet are size 13 and I'm a 10. But I will have ridden all of them and I'll let you know.

Oracle is my favorite riding shape, but for where I am in my riding the cameo does a better job.
