Anyone remember the HD wake site from around 2008? It had tons of great content, they were kind of the pioneers of HD wake content. They shut a few years ago which is a shame because they had some amazing short clips. The one I was trying to find was a double s-bend attempt behind boat.

I wasn't even around back then, but I found some videos for you here:

https://vimeo.com/channels/wakeboarding/videos
https://vimeo.com/thewakeplace/videos/page:1/sort:date

None of those are labelled double sbend so unless it was part of a longer video I don't think its there. All I could find is that the guy trying it was Ryan Jones and the link to it use to be http://www.thewakeplace.com/?p=438 .

Here is someone landing one in a terrible quality video at 1:22
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MtcuhDhazU

Not sure if that helps but thats all I could find!

Yeah Mark took me about 10 mins to recall the name also.
I'm not sure why they shut down, but I remember being bummed when they did.

They really did have a lot of good video content.

There is a film around (I saw it last year) of a guy doing doubles behind the boat. I think it was wake mag or the hall of fame guys posting it.

This one has slo mo in it too. It's a better looking double. I remember there being some conjecture about the wakeplace video (someone was saying it was a 2 handed whirly, not an s-bend. I thought it looked great either way.)

Hey Will thanks man! Yeh I know this video very well, I cant believe how easy Stepane makes it look and in 1998 as well, unbelievable. I was talking to another old school rider from Thailand, Lota who used to compete with Stephane, he said he stopped doing the double sbend after he broke 3 ribs on a crash. I think thats why you just dont see this trick being done these days, even with the much bigger wake.

Ive only seen one other video of Dustin Shows here at 1:20 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MtcuhDhazU but after re-watching I think its more of a big 2 handed whirly. You can see he takes off more like a tantrum. Stephane legit charges in and take off in a proper raley position.

For sure! It's a mighty trick and Stephane makes it look easy!
