I've been trying to do a tantrum for a couple of months now, but haven't succeeded. I usually land on my feet, but the handle keeps getting pulled out of my hands. Here are a couple of sequences of recent attempts. Any suggestions on what I’m doing wrong or what I should do different?
It looks like you are letting off your edge to early and losing too much speed and line tension to me. Try waiting a bit longer before letting off your edge. The rest looks good.

like mike said, be more patient and switch edge harder... that way it'll almost stop you at the wake throwing all your body around nice and slow and a little higher... when you got this down go a little harder and bring your board to your back hand and grab indy... be careful, it'll spin you around faster because you're more compact... let go the grab and straighten your legs and it'll stop the rotation...
i asked the same question to kyle scmidt on the LF forum and he said what you see above me, as well as something I had never heard before.... huck your knees into your chest... if youc an do this and consistently land, then you can toss a indy grab in there easily
