Tomorrow I finally get my new X30 after upgrading from a 2003 Moomba Mobius LS direct drive. Needless to say, I'm beyond excited and feel like a kid at Christmas....

saw one of these on the water last week, looked slick. one question why does MC have some damn models? how does one choose between the x30 and x35? i just noticed the x25 was a 21.5' boat (looks much bigger in person) and so is the x15? whats the difference?

That's is a nice looking ride. Congrats.
MC has so many models these days as the have chosen to kind of make a standard bow more multipurpose hull boat and a pickle bow version with a more of a wake hull in each size category. That's the best I can figure.

As far as the X line up goes the X-15 and X-30 are traditional bow. X-2, X-25, X-35, X-45, X-55 are pickle forks.

I love the teak platform. It classes the entire boat up. Also, the teak will look much better, much longer than the fiberglass platform with a basic cleaning and oiling once or twice a year. I bought an 87 nautique a few years ago that the teak looked pretty faded and gray. I spent probably $25 or $20 bucks and an hour and it looked near brand new and that was 20 year old teak. The fiberglass platforms get chipped, scratched, dinged and there is no great fix besides actual fiberglass/gelcoat repair. Also, you have to deal with an extra piece of plastic/rubber/etc on teh fiberglass platform that you don't on the teak. That said I understand why people like fiberglass for not having to clean it and looks(subjective).

One of the huge differences people don't think about between many of the models is the dead rise (correct term?) I know that the x35 has a few degrees higher in dead rise over the x30 which makes it a little better riding in rougher waters than some of the other models. It has been a while since I have looked into the lineup, but i think i remember that being one of the key differences. I think the 35 also may have a head in it?
Either way OP your 30 is nice!

Craig, that X-30 looks a little familar.....
OP, you will love your new boat, it does everything well wake wise, has tons of room and storage and handles like a dream. I know people don't think of "value" when they think of MC, but I think that the X-30 is the best value in their line up. It's priced well compared to the other MC models (Yes we all know that means it's still expensive) and I think it's a solid, top contender in the 23ft catagory. There are just a lot of things to like about on this boat, but I can pretty much garuntee your favorite will be that rear seat, it's so awesome for passengers to watch the action. Let me know if you need any help dialing the wake/wave.
When compared to the X-35, I think the 30 is more of a wake/watersports boat than a family/surf boat. It's also quite a bit lower in price.

If craig started a new thread for his freshly stocked x30 it would be filled with MC bashers and shut down for advertisement. The X30 is a great boat that can be had for a great price (on the MC scale). This boat looks even better in person and will turn heads for sure. Excited to hopefully get behind a few this upcoming summer.

Craig - you don't have to apologize. Your stuff is some of the best designed, best photographed boats out there.
Markj - what do you have against gratuitous boat porn?

Craig, you should ask the production manager for a refund. I understand that different people have different tastes, but that is literally the ugliest MC I have ever seen. At least that wrap can come off, but that interior is wasted.

I saw the camo X-30 out on the water a bunch this summer. While it is nothing I would ever buy, I think it looks great in person and out on the lake.
I'm guessing that he is a TN Vols fan who also likes hunting...

i think the orange fad will fade. Its cool because its in now, so is the green. but what do you do with it when you want to sell it. I have always been leary of doing colors that where extreme, I end up getting tired of something and want a new toy. the deal would have to be really stupid to get a color that would be tough to sell. i do like the new x30, i think its a good move for mc

Thats funny I was just having a Conversation with my Friend last night, he was saying how Texas has some of the strangest color combos AND THE ALL SELL!
He said one thing i have seen as a boat sales person is "there is a boat for every person"
Does any one ever remember the Yellow and Purple Super Air 210! Texas Baby!
