alrighty so the carpet is shot in my boat and i'm debating a diy job. who's done it and how'd it turn out? Looking for costs, time to complete the job etc... I'd like to use something other than carpet as i really don't care for it but the seadek and other options seem to require a gel coat floor and i'm not interested in going that route as its too involved. Is there any other alternatives im missing? I'm hoping i can knock this out in a day tops for carpet but willing to invest more time for a better alternative

Hydroturf. scrape the carpet glue residue off with a scrapper attachment on a reciprocating saw. I went with the b-stock from www.pwcmuscle.com and ask for a 15% off forum discount.

use DAP contact cement or 3m Super90 spray adhesive or get it peel and stick.
