welcome to the Delta!

did you find Frankie a spot to watch the WC tomorrow?
Old     (dakid)      Join Date: Feb 2001       07-08-2006, 9:08 AM Reply
big ed, it's a rarity for the main channel to be butter all day. i'm quite familiar with the delta, thank you.

no, i haven't found a spot for frankie yet. she really likes the pub she goes to to watch in sacramento. she went there to watch the italy/germany game. she said it was insane.

We had a blast when we went out with Wes. His boat is one of my favorites that I have been on.

It is NOT a rarity,I guess you are not as familiar with the Delta as you might think.

Did you try Aladino's or is that not what Frankie was looking for?

Yes, Wes's boat/wake is still one of the best in the world.

You guys got me all curious... What does Wes run?

I have been to the delta several times now, (always on weekdays) the main channel was only smooth on one occasion due to wind.

Wes's wake is gnarley....That boat has served me several times. He has it slammed just right.

I got some great butter at berryessa yesterday as well, from about 2:00-4:00pm then the wind picked up but I had already taken my fill of butter!

Attila: Wes has a sweet a$$ Super Air. Not sure of the weight or distribution he runs. I did not give the wake the respect it deserves and boy did I pay! I'll never forget coming in toe-side and getting thrown into a TS Front. Actually made it 3/4 around. lol. And later I here the story of Wes asking my son "how long has your dad been trying TS Fronts", and my son answering "he's never tried one". LOL, good times!

If the Main Channel was butter then you had butter for days. I love when the delta gives her love up like that.

As for Wes's wake she is kicking. I call her the Widow maker Respect her or you will be tossed like a rag doll.

Widow Maker was named by Squid. When I went to West Coast CC to pick it up I walked in and said "I am here to pick up Widow Maker" and the guy said "Which one?" They had two almost all black SANTE's there. The biggest difference was the other one had a 502 in it.

The boat is loaded with lead, but it could always use more weight I can only ride 85 feet behind it with a boat load of people or I can not cleanly make it across the wake switch TS.

wes runs the stock ballast + 580ish pounds of lead. the wake is big, clean and solid!

by the way, we shared the slough w/ 2 other boats today...butter all day!

i agree joe!

we were out this afternoon on the delta, and several channels were beautiful. sac river just north of locke was butterific!

Awwwww shucks guys. I have had a lot of help over the years getting everything dialed in.

The water was amazing today, as were my two incredible faceplants. J-Rod I got served myself today, multiple times. My neck is killing me already...

p.s. it's slightly misleading to say I only run the lead + stock ballast... Because the batteries/stereo factors in...

I have 9 lead bricks, 65 lbs each
-- 4 in the bow (2 port, 2 starboard, plus a small mushroom anchor)
-- 3 at the driver's feet/kickpanel
-- one directly behind/under the drivers seat
-- one under the starboard rear seat cushion

Almost all of the lead is on the starboard side because on the port side I have all 3 batteries, the 12w7 subwoofer/enclosure, and two fairly heavy amps.

Nice, like Squid said....Delta gave her love!

Whenever somebody talks about a Super Air wake, for me Jeff Frew comes to mind.

Wes,if you want me to think about your SAN like I do about Frew's,you are going to have to give me a pull.

Seriously,I'm yet to ride behind a SAN wake that I will like as much as Jeff Frew's.Just awesome plus his excellent driving skillz are over the top.

I'm going to have to take you up on that offer one of these days.

But you go ahead and drive Wes......not to disrespect your driving Joe but you can back me on Frew's driving skillz.

I dont know about Umali's Driving

Although it was a while back , last time I was in a boat with Joe, he managed to run over and into a few huge bouy's at San V in Club Mike's new boat.

I told you we would never let you forget it Joe!!!!!
