9am here. Sunshine & the public park on the lake has been closed for the season. Air temp is 62 already. Should be mid 70s with water temps in the mid/high 60s by noon when we hit the water.

my boat quit working on Thursday night! We rode behind a chaparral yesterday instead, in a way it was a nice change of pace to not worry about wake tricks and just jib and ollie anything you can find. Water is still so warm, I'm thinking we have another week before shorty season and a few weeks before fullsuit season. Boat should be back Monday night I hope, it's the best part of the season.

For the record- I would take a summer like this every year- we got started in April, had mild weather (I dislike anything over 85- my apologies) and had a ton of rain so I've been able to access parts of lakes I've never been to in my life before

Man our air temps are still high 80's to low 90's. We stop riding late October early November.

Went out to Don Pedro Friday afternoon, a lake I usually avoid due to tubers etc.

Air temp 90, water temp 74, not a breath of wind and glass for miles. Only saw 3 other boats between 1PM and dark O'clock.

At the end of the day my wife asked if I wanted to take a barefoot run, something she usually gets mad at me for doing. Took the run even made my tumbleturn, something I have not made in at least 2 years.

Awesome

Bill, that's unreal water at 5:30 PM. In fact, I can't really remember ever seeing something like that while the air remained 85 degrees. And I live in SoCal! I'm not sure if I'm going to call BS, or move to where you live!

Nice touch with the PBR. It just so happens to be a staple on my boat too... Great pic.

I hear ya Brett. Believe me, it didn't last long. I finished that beer, and got my set in & a couple of tubers & jetskiers showed up. Was still pretty sweet.
Facing 90 today so we'll do it again.

It would be hard to get any work done with a view like that. All I would think about was getting out on the water.

That picture might even look better Matt if it was not from my phone. Labor day on the water looks like that all day long Might have one or 2 fishing boats but that is it. Hit the 90's again so rolling the office phones to cell phone and time to go have a board meeting out on the water.

Here's what I've been looking at for the past few weeks.... Too bad I only get to 'look', as I'm here for work.
Have only seen 1 boat on the water once in the past 2 weeks.Upload

Wow Craigp, that is awesome. It begs to be ripped up!

Packrat, that is Liberty Lake, in our back yard near Spokane. I lived/rode on the north end of Sammamish for like 12 yrs & moved away about 5 yrs ago. Was great while it lasted & I always miss seeing all the talent riding there.

Love this time of year!
Water and air temps are still warm enough, so no wetsuits, and absolutely no one on the river except a couple fishing boats. Here in the NW, I think most people pack it in after Memorial weekend, so we pretty much have the water to ourselves.
Playing hooky and going out today. The forecast is in the low 90's...

CraigP,

Where is that?
Old     (cpeepee)      Join Date: Jul 2009       09-24-2009, 7:14 PM Reply
Talltigeguy,
This is a secluded reservoir in the interior of British Columbia (Canada), near Revelstoke BC.

The lake is 140km long and ALWAYS glassy flat. Like I said, I've seen only 1 boat on it in the 3 weeks I've been up here.
