Hey there. So recently someone asked me how many hours I have on my boat. It's a 2001 Mastercraft X-Star (as you probably noticed by the title of this thread) lol. Anyways, I've never really checked the engine hours. I just assumed there'd be a meter somewhere in plain sight by the engine, but I couldn't find this when I went looking for it. Anybody know where I should be looking? Is it pretty much always in the same spot on these boats? Any ideas?

Greg.

I have the same whip. Mines on the Dash in the Tachometer.

Ok, I will get a chance to check tomorrow morning. Are there any other places it could be, incase it isn't on the tachometer?

could be on your perfect pass if you have the digital pro as well. However if no tact or PP there is no hour meter on the engine. Someone has to hook up to the port in the engine and pull the hours

I got the 2003 X2 its on my PP and on the rpm. Interesting fact though, your mechanic can plug in to run actual motor hrs... Previous owner ran the stereo with fwd ignition instead of backward... Actual engine hrs read out ~250 less than the PP and rpm count reads.
