Hey guys.
Was starting to look into finally getting back into boating.
I grew up on the water in Lake Havasu and the Colorado river.
We have debated on just jumping in and buying a new boat or buying an older boat first with the potential to upgrade later. What do you guys think?
I don't have a lot of time off to take on a fixer upper but am mechanically inclined to do little things.
What would be a good boat to get either new or used( 25-30k used budget).
Thanks for your help guys.

There is a lot to choose from in the 25-30k range so you can find a good boat in nice condition at that price. Try to test drive before you buy as, regardless what we may tell you what our thoughts are on boats are not necessarily yours. Most boats are great but there are big differences in how they drive and features which you'll find out when you try riding in them.
I'd recommend getting a used boat as you'll only lose a small amount over the first couple years you own it. New drops a lot in price.
If you aren't completely sure what you want it makes it easier to change later.
Good luck, it's fun.
