that pic of the X2 wake above is the worst possible pic you could take for comparison purposes. The lake is super choppy and for some reason the wake looks wider on the starboard side.

Nick you fully informed on this.

The tv and dvd thing was when it first came out, and after that it changed ownership and management, and they revamped the boats from being viewed as "glorified I/O's". I'm not sure how a v-drive can ever be an I/O.

For the X2 pic, it's because I only ride behind once and the lake was shoppy!!!! Maybe it was to much loaded or just uncorrectly loaded but what you see is what I got this time... so, my opinion is base on it!!!!

I/O = Inboard/outboard or also known as a stern drive. motor in the hatch, transom out the back

I'm not pretty sure to understand but the only think that I know is that it looks like a ordinary V-drive like the Malibu!!! Otherwise, never heard about a tv or a dvd in this boat!!! I know that Regal did the first Session and 2 guys take the project after.... I don'think it exist anymore!!!!

i didn't know it was full on V-drive... i thought since it was with Regal it was I/O

It's my boat and me riding in the pics. It is indeed a v-drive.

As for the wake shape I am still experimenting. Fred likes it when it is really steep, I find that it can throw me off balance when I'm not perfect on my take off. I will play with the speed and weight placement to figure out what works best for me.

Anyways, it a fun sport...

If that second pic is an X2 it must be a newer X2 not the older 01-05.... x-star, x-1, x-2, V205 hull.
Suprised by the v215 wake, looks like an older x10 wake...Bad!

I doubt that pic you said was an x2 with 2500 lbs of ballast and 10 people... You're either wrong about the weight or or it's a lie. When we weight down the X2 we ride behind the wake is like triple that

Fred the pic of the black X2 2007 that u posted..where is the '07 tower? where is the '07 graphic? I ask this b/c not only do I own a '07 X2 but I also work in a MC dealership...IMHO looks like a Maristar 200/210 and you added the older tower with the newer boardracks..that would explain the pic of the wake also b/c the Maristar doesn't come with internal ballast so you would need to add fat sacs to get a nice wake and the weight distribution was off..I also agree with steezyshots 100% that it could not have 2500 lbs of ballast AND 10 ppl..no way..I've had over 5000 lbs of weight in mine and it would swallow that one easily...not bustin yur marbles Fred
