compression molded so it will ride like a pig. can't comment on that particular board, but it would make a good boat board though

It will be good for a first boat board yes.

How much do you weight and how big is the board?

I weight 180 and it's a 5'.0" 1st time wake surfing attempt.

I've never heard of anyone that likes the board. It is a simple classic fish surfboard outline, but the volume distribution and the build make it feel like riding a large wakeboard. People buy them as cheap first boards or get them free with boat purchases. You can probably find last years colorway at a shop or online for $100.

I like riding mine but I've never ridden more expensive boards for comparison. I ride the fish & a Volt board & both are fun

Well I ended up passing on this deal, what would be a good wakesurfing board to start out with? I'm 180 lbs and 5.7 tall. I would like to get one ASAP. Thanks.

A hyperlite broadcast or a liquid force doum are going to fit in wakeboard racks, and are easy to learn on. You don't need/want a 750 dollar board you're going to ding and have others beat up. What boat and weight setup? Buy a last years model, the WB brand surfs basically just change colors every yr.

Or one of these bad boys http://calmarinesports.com/wakesurf-...ria-debut.html I love fast skims and they don't require a big monster wake to move along

Depends on if you want a wake surfboard or a wake skimboard. At your size you fit into a large variety of off the shelf boards.

Would this make a good first all around wake surfer?

I think that would be a good first time board. It is definitely better than the Fish.
