So I have an old wake board that a friend gave me a few years ago, and have been using it. It has Mobe CWB boot bindings on it that are labeled L to XXL size, however cant get anywhere close to getting my size 10 US foot into it. I have taken the boots competently apart, but cant seem to find any way to make them larger, as the inside lining is screwed down to the plate with only one setting, and there seems to be no way to make it larger. How can I make these fit, because I must be doing something wrong if the are labeled for l -xxl. Is there something like a spacer that goes between the mounting plate and the top plate that clamps it together, because this would rise the lining up higher giving more room, and I was considering making this with some wood or ABS plastic. Sorry I dont know much at all about wake boards. thanks!

Are you trying to stuff your foot in there dry? Get them wet, or better yet, use some binding lube (or any other water-based/water-soluble lubricant to get in - which then washes away in the water - electrician's cable lube is actually a pretty good cheap alternative).

I got them kinda wet, but not as wet as if I were actually in the water. However last year I tried using it in the water and I barely fit. I dont think lube would even do the job.

Yeah, squirt some dish washing soap in them before putting them on.

boots designed for a wide range of sizes rarely work well for anyone. May be time to get a better fitting pair

It completely depends on how much you use the board as to whether or not you need another set of bindings. I concur. One size fit's all bindings are never the way to go if you're looking for the right support or responsiveness of a boot properly sized to your foot.
That being said. If you don't see the justification for a new set, use lotion, not soap if you have to go that route. Soap will progressively deteriorate your bindings and contribute to dry rot in the off season.
Completely dunk your board in the water and put it on on the platform. Hope this helps.

the idea with soap is that it washes off once your in leaving a tight fit. never seen my bindings deteriorate from soap either

Yeah, those really old binding required soap to get on. The newer boot designs don't.
