It looks pretty nice although it is a little busy with too many angles, stitches, etc.. for me. Tige really looks like they are pushing Mastercraft for the most over the top interior detail. Lots of cross stitiching, different panels and different colors. The tower looks a little on the low side. Nic eboat though.

Yeah looks as though they've been taking notes from many other manufacturers. Doesn't look any bigger inside than many 21' boats.

AJ,

Surf wake is awesome. I was at the dealer meeting and got to take the first Z3 out before all the dealers got there and get some time on it. Then the following day went out with Tige Pro rider Dominic Lagace. If you have never seen him ride, this guy can shred. He was throwing down. Great guy and was giving tips and pointers too.

We had the front bow port side full, port side rear full and 25% on star rear. 8 people in the boat so with one riding 7 in the boat. Wave was tall and long and a really cool shape. I have an RZ2 and have had an RZ4. I love the RZ2 surf wave. And I can tell you the Z3 is legit. All we do is surf. The Z3 Will be the next demo boat we build.

There will be some good surf pics coming soon. Tige is doing the 2012 photo shoot today and the next so all the Pro Riders are staying and working the shoot.

The boat has an awesome style to it with really great lines. When you see it in person, you can see all the style lines built into the hull. The graphics are not just in the hull but there is an actual step where the graphic is. The interior and transom are great and i love the storage on the engine cover. and the flip up center walk way. One side is cushion for full padded cover for the ladies to layout and then flip it over and it is a walk way. What is really cool about it, the flip over is not just a pad. There is a filberglass panel in the center that locks into place so it will not fly out like a plain pad. The boat handles like it is smaller than it is. It does not feel or drive like a large boat. We had the PCM 343 and it was plenty of power. Turns on a dime and handles chop really well. we were at Possum Kingdom lake in Texas. Which is a very large lake so out in the open there is some chop and we ran it hard and was great. Also, when surfing i wasnt worried about taking rolllers over the bow. Granted we did not have it slammed but was such a nice surf wave and didnt need to slam it.

Let me know any other specifics and I will try to answer. And of course the stereo! Tige has added the new Revolution tower speakers for 2012. The one in the pics has a set of Wet Sounds REV 10 and REV 8. Others had a single pair of REV 10. Some with dual REV 8's and Dual REV 10's. With full Wet Sounds system inside and amps as we have been in the Tige's. We rocked the one in the pictures out till about 4am.

Beautiful. I would rather have main cabin space than such a big sundeck .... but still a beautiful boat.... LOVE Tige's towers.

Any idea on the price tag?

I like that they have a fill in cushion so it is one big sunpad but there is way too many lines, colors and different panels. Too cluttered like I said before. The onther thing I don't like is the gelcoat/deck between the back seat and the sunpad. There should be no deck showing. Also, nautique already went away from that style uneven back seat because people didn't like it. Not a great design. I kind of agree with Nick. I would rather have a little more room in the cockpit then that huge of a sunpad although I think the MB's almost have too small of a sunpad to where it wouldn't be comfortable for 2 or 3 people to lay out on.

Why mus tall boat manufacturer's make ugly as sin towers?

2012 tower is WAY worse than before....

2011's was great,.... this new one looks like they tried tooooo hard to be modern

as brett mentions above, i would worry about the stitching (re: mastercraft), but this is a great looking boat. definitely challenging mastercraft for most bling, but looks functional as well. not a fan of the 2012 tower shown on the orange boat, but to each his own.

The Z3 is 4" deeper than the RZ2, the boat looks and feels bigger than a 23' boat.

The new tower is an option. So the Alpha Z tower is still an option too. Some boats had the Alpha Z and some had the new tower.

Now that MasterCraft has relinquished its "Ugly Tower of the Year" crown, I see we have a new heir to the throne!

Looks great in the water. Again, more classic graphics would be nice but I am guessing there is a way to color it and leave the graphics off. Nice boat.

I think the R20 looks fine with this tower, but I like the Alpha Z with the Z3 and the RZ's.

I really like what tige is doing. z3 looks really good.

When I saw the new tower on the rz I thought it looked great but when I see it up close on the r20 it makes me really wish that they would have used square tubing instead of round on the bottom part. It would follow the design of the top much better. I still like the new tower better than the old.

Good work tige.

I was just told by a tige dealer that is is going to be very close to the RZ2. Somewhere in the mid 70's for a nicely equipped one with a trailer. Probably creep up into the 80's really loaded.

I must be one of the only people who thinks so, but I really love that new tower. I think it'd be extremely difficult to top the '11 tower style-wise, but Tige just did imo. That orange RZ2 is super attractive to me

Just curious whats the point with the Z3 are they discontinuing the 24ve? did the ve series go away because of the popularity of the RZ???

I think the new tower looks pretty killer! But i definately like it black better, orange might be the problem on the first tige...Z3 looks sweet!

I like the white Z3 just a few posts up. I'd even go with fewer graphics than that. I prefer a boat with a cleaner look. Mine will be black and silver and super clean. I'll post pics when it's done.

http://www.alliancewake.com/wake/all...-tige-2012-z3/

heres a walk through showing a few little innovations

2300lbs of factory ballast is absurd, plus those bags could easily be swapped out to give weight in 3-4k. another video i saw showed a few clips of the wake which was huge, the the double ups were huge, and the wake looked very big with a LARGE lip at the top, guess well have to wait and see when wakeworld gets theirs what the wake is like.

Old     (kinger)      Join Date: Jun 2007       09-20-2011, 8:08 AM Reply
That video doesn't make the wake look all that impressive, looks like it is washing out at the top. I think Tige's are the best looking boats out right now, and would buy one based on looks alone, but IMO that wake looked pretty crappy especially if that was w/2300lbs of weight.

From what I understand, the bags that are in the year can be easily unplugged and replaced with larger bags, so everything will still run off the same switches. So this boat is approaching "Epic" proportions as far as the amount of ballast goes. Once we get ours, we'll get some quality video of the wake to you. Can't wait!
Old     (timmyb)      Join Date: Apr 2007       09-20-2011, 8:58 AM Reply
I saw some washy shots in the video but that's not any different than any other boat at times, not always perfect.
Couple of shots from the vid look to be decent but everyone knows that photo's don't tell you everything about a boats wake.

Also, from what I understand, the actual boat length is only 23' even though it's listed at 23' 8". Apparently, they have to include the trim plate in the length and that plate sticks out 8" off the back.

the new tower definitely follows the lines of the boat VERY well. I think it looks better than their old one and may be the best looking tower on any boat right now. that Z3 is sick. wish I could afford one but it looks like I will be hoping for a winning lottery ticket to get me in one.
