Looks like activewake.com does it again. They have the best deal that I can find on 2014 Remote Wakeskates. $199 with free shipping and NO SALES TAX!?

I'm looking to get a deck this year. What would you recommend for:

6'3" - 225 lbs, Longtime, advanced wakeboarder.

I used to wakeskate some behind my parents old boat (like 12 yrs ago) because the wake wasn't any good for wake boarding. I started on a homemade flat deck (back when everyone was doing that in 2003-04) and then eventually bought a Hyperlite Scape flat deck that I got free with an evo.com order.

This would be my first concave, and I know the boards have come a LONG way since I last bought a skate so looking for a little input.

I will still primarily wakeboard, but this season I am rehabbing a torn ligament in my ankle so thinking a skate might keep the impact down as I get back into riding. BTW this is not in any way intended to suggest wakeskating is any less risky than wakeboarding (I know you can still get broke off and risk ACL, etc....) but in my particular case the injury was the foot sliding forward relative to the lower leg and tearing the ATFL that way (I was wakeboarding and this was from a big impact landing a BS180)

When I did wakeskate I could ollie, ollie 180, inside out 180, wake-wake indy, and very close to BS shove. I do skateboard a little bit too.

I'm definitely leaning towards a REMOTE board. Their gear looks awesome, I like the made in USA aspect, and all my wake gear is Slingshot (made in the same factory) so I know their stuff is very durable and high quality.

I'm immediately thinking the Horan just based on size alone seeing that I'm so tall. But curious how much size really affects things in 1/2" increments on a skate?

I have found the following on pricing:
2013 Remotes: $149
2014 Remotes: $199
2015 Remotes: $279

I notice that from 2013 to 2014 it looks like they cut 2lbs or so out of each of the board models. Anybody comment on how this makes them ride? I thought weight was your friend in wakeskates?

Are their any other major differences in construction, shape, or other features between these years?

Definitely get the 41" Horan at your size. You will like it a lot.
The Horan is the same all 3 years, just different graphic. The other boards change thickness in 2015, but the Horan is always the same.
