I didn't want to highjack Kellens Delta Sunset thread.....

so....speaking of sunset shots on the Delta ...I really want to do some shooting from the tube at sunset...but our normal group can never get enough people free to ride at the right time. We need 4 in the boat to shoot from the tube.

I have a D300 with an aquatech housing and the flash housing for the DB900 speed light. I have lens ports for my Tokina 11-16mm...and Nikon 17-35mm....and a tube all set up to shoot from. I have a Sanger V210 that I normally run from 1000#-2000#. I ride out of Disco/Clipper Bay. We could pull from another boat as well....

Attached is a tube shot of Alain taken at about 10:30-11:00 a.m. on Vics a few weeks ago. Shot at 20 mm with the handle about 6' past the end of the tube. Also attached is a pic of a tree (?!) showing the effect I want to get on the water using the speedlight. Underexpose the ambient about 2 stops...then manually adjust flash to light the rider. That will give the deep colors on the sunset...without the rider being blacked out...

Drop me a PM or email if you are interested in doing some shooting like this. A weekday would be best as we will have to stay out very late... I know we could get some special shots with a set up like this...
