All those tricks were sick, but that kinked street rail kind of takes wakeboarding to a new level. That Osmosis was super clean too

Randalls Half Cab was from Spring Ride. I saw that ish live! He went twice as big as anyone out there. He was considering not riding, and ended up winning BOTH formats.

Nutty man.... Congrats to all the riders out there sticking new 'ish.
I've gotta say, the standouts for me are Rathy's Osmosis. That was unreal. That TS/BS 9 was nuts, too. That's such a hard direction to spin. Anothing over a 5 is just crazy to me.
I'm not sure I could pick a favorite move, though. Those were all big and took serious commitment. Nice guys... Way to push it.

^Yet it is always great to see the Gauntlet thrown down. All of those tricks were sick and I expect next year to be even better.

I can't wait to see the actual footage. I was watching a Pull today on the DVR and was thinking about how well Randall is riding. That half cab is proof.

Amazing progression in the sport
Loving the double inverts. But it's still spin to win.
Congrats to Steel and all the guys who where nominated. Just to get on that shortlist ment you threw down some hammers.
When was the 009 landed, I think that should have been on the shortlist if it was landed for the first time this year.

009 was done years ago by matt sims out of jasper al. i'd say 04 or 05. he never got credit from "industry" for it was somewhat looked down upon for doing it which made him not want to do it anymore and seemed to have upset him too. not because he thought he should have been rocketed to stardom or anything, but because he worked hard on it and thought out of the box. i've seen him do a nose grab osmosis 7 behind my boat before that was smooth too. his brother steven is actually a pretty sick rider too, but not like matt. the kid will throw back to back toe 9's, heel 7's, reg and switch kgb's, tootsie's, 911, indy glide, you name it. i'd vote for the 009 for toty if i had a vote.

RM youre exactly correct. When Matt moved to florida for a short time, i had the privledge of watching some of his riding and all i could say was WOW. in 04/05 the kid was ahead of the curve for sure. Im sure not much has changed. lol

i have no idea. i used to hang out with matt alot around that time and alot of "pro level" riders just didn't seem into it. he really just quit throwing it because for some reason it made him somewhat of an outcast. that's not the right word, but you get what i'm saying. the only tricks i can think of matt can't do, and he might have landed them by now, are a 1080, 1260, and maybe a ts bs 7/9 and fat chance. you tell him to do something you've never seen him do and he goes and does it first try. back to the topic at hand, i did love rathy's osmosis the most.

To sum it up in a short sentence from my limited experience over the last 4 or 5 years: The wakeboarding industry is a good ole boy system where a select few decide who and who does not get exposure.

His whole section in Evolution: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQZsS...eature=related is easily as entertaining as any section I see today. This was like what 6 or 7 years ago?
