Ive never ridden either of these boards but both look like what i want. I loved riding the HL tribute but want some more pop and i think because the marius and fish are both continous rockers and super wide theyll give me what i want.

So they both look like theyll have soft landings, ride like wide boards, pop hard.

So anyways has anyone ridden both and give me a lil break down to any differences or what you thought was a better board.

Id be getting either the marius 140 or fish 137

one of my friends rides a fish and he says that its supper fun ride, especailly to spin on but the landings are hard to pull off, and i think your supposto ride a much smaller size on that board than your normally would ride. id call LF before purchasing it it see what they say about the sizes. bc i ride a 138 but i was told like a 131 or something like that for that board.

The 08 Marius will give you massive pop. It is a lot faster then the previous years board and hooks up real good on edge.

Hey I have riden the fish a couple of times. It's more a fun board, easy to spin, and to do turns.

I would not buy it if you want to go for big air and do great jumps. the landing is hard because the board is so short. I ended up getting the new watson board after testing almost all the pro models from LF.

^^^^That is the exact opposite of what the board the really is/does. It lands very soft and is extremely poppy for it's short length.

I rode it for 3 seasons and loved it. And yes it does "do turns" very well...

IMO... Neither of those boards "pop hard".

I never really got into the Fish. I couldn't get as much snap toeside as I can on a regular board. It is fun to ride though, just not as my everyday board.

The Marius is a great board. If you want the Fish feel you can always ride the short one. Personally I like the bigger one better. That board allowed me to ride away from things that I would've crashed on with any other board. I wasn't that impressed with the pop though (for my riding style). I much prefer the Transcend which definitely pops hard.

I haven't been on the Marius, but I will agree with what Ryan and Evan said about the Fish. It has a nice smooth pop, not a bucking pop. The landings are great; nice and soft. Being consistent with my toeside edge and switch riding was an issue with me and that is the reason that I am switching off of the board for this season and get back to the basics to get my fundamentals back up to par.
