andreas, ditch the golf cart and get an 06 polaris ranger. you won't be disappointed. they will go ANYWHERE. throw 4 piaa's on the roof and you are set! some of the most fun i've ever had was in one of those.

i think all you need now is the Aprilia RSV Mille 1000 R Nera. now THAT is a bike!

I choose to disturb the neighbors with a Polaris Ranger with tunes on steroids :-) I know it's a little OT but been looking for a place to share my recent project. Huge thanks to the Kicker custom guys for donating the sub, box and amp :-)

nice...but what's up with those tires?!?!?! that totally defeats the purpose of that thing!! get some mudders on it and it'll be good. i dig that stereo!

I agree, but we use a public cart path around the lake and everyone else uses golf carts. The factory knobbies totally schredded the path and I was creating ruts that was creating enemies. The turf tires are much smoother at high speeds on the street over the factory knobbies so overall it works much better for me, but the knobbies sure looked better and for off roading would have been much better. I can say on wet grass I can now do 360's until I'm dizzy with the turf tires

How does the Polaris Ranger compare to the Yamaha Rhino?? I have been really close to pulling the trigger on one and have heard that the '06's have an even larger motor??

there's a BIIIGG battle between the two right now. in 05 the rhino's took the cake, but in '06 polaris came out with IRS and a 700cc motor...pretty nice. however the next gen rhino(coming soon) will have the new 700efi raptor engine in it compared to the current 660carb.

i'd have to say you can't go wrong with either.

i like the ranger for it's looks and i have personally experienced it's capabilities. but the new rhino with a new ECU would be damned impressive.

my buddy's looks some thing like this:

he took off the dump-bed and replaced it with a solid frame then caged it all in, added 4 piaa's up front, added a mastercraft jeep bench, crow 4-pt harnesses, and a cooler for...ummm....bottled water..... ;) haha

I was torn between the Rhino and the Ranger, both are awesome. The main reason I went with the Ranger was it is wide enough to fit three adults. We pull 5'x8' and 6'x12' landscape trailers around often filled with trees we've taken down for firewood and regularly go way over the 1500lb towing capacity, often really missing the factory knobbies!

There is a guy at Kicker named Tim Gertz who was my inspiration to add crazy tunes. Below is the first Ranger he did. I dont have the pics any more but he then did one for the owner of Crutchfield that was way over the top with "tons of chrome", neon, DVD, nitrous, etc. I want his job one day, basically take toys of all sorts and use the companies money to pimp them out with a money is no object budget!

Note the cannon on top is for shooting t-shirts into stadiums.

those are cool customizations, and i understand the toy aspect, but i've never understood this - for the money, why not buy something like an old Toyota 4x4 pickup? they can haul more, go just about as many places, last forever, cheap parts, enclosed cab, a/c, bigger bed, tow more, street legal, and cost way less.

Monster - i dunno about the sub in the wheelwell, donuts in wet grass prob aren't very good for it?

anyway, awesome toys everyone. here's one of my current projects. (87 Honda Magna)
