Nice looking boat. Gelcoat on the bow of that first picture looks like it shines better than new. Enjoy

well it all depends how low you want the nose hahaha.. id usually run atleast 500-600 in the nose and 400-500 in back and 200 to 300 mid ship.. i used to run more than that at times but imo the wake didnt increase that much to justify the xtra weight.. basically anywhere between 800-1500 total and have a sweet wake

Yeah looks like that boat has been well cared for. A friend of mine has a 1996 Malibu VLX and it is in pristine condition. He only has 300 hours on it and it still purrs like a kitten.

A buddy of mine had a Sanger and we put the fat sac seat in place of the rear seat and then piled 8-10 people in and the wake was awesome. Have fun with it.

I was thinking about the seat or going with 440 launch bags on each side of the motor. Were you using lead up front, Richard? It's my only option since the amps and sub are up there. I imagine a couple hundred wouldn't hurt the trailer?? Thanks again... I really like the nostalgia of older boats.

very clean boat, for sure. you won't need much weight to get a nice wake out of her. a couple hundred should be all you need. I wouldn't worry until you get above 500lbs in lead and solid weight. especially since its in the bow. we had 900 in a 2001, but only towed about 20 minutes. Beautiful boat, enjoy the summer!

Clean Bean dude! Looks sweet. Actually, it looks a lot like my cousin's boat. Where did you get it? Either way, congrats, you're stoked!

Bought it from a guy in Marysville who planned to buy a new Calabria. Thanks Nacho. I'll start with the bags and hit up Play it Again Sports or tire centers for lead weight.

Very nice boat. I dont know if I have ever seen a boat that old shine like that. I really like the wake air tower as well. Good to see some nice old school boats out there.

yeah the guy before me had sand bags way up in the bow and in the rear on the sides of the tank.. i later added lead bars i personally melted down... i wouldnt recomend it but i used to keep all the lead in my boat and also the sacks full lol didnt have to tow very far but never had any problems...

Congratulations Mike!! Very nice. We spoke a month or so ago, while you were looking. From the comments and the photos, I sure you'll be happy with the performance and the wake. Could you post pics of the stereo, amp and sub setup? I have the same boat (except it's red), but it is completely stock, not even a stereo. I have some ideas, but any help is appreciated. Enjoy.

Will do, Vince. He went with a Kicker 850 for two interior 6x9's and the Fusion tower speakers. A Kicker 650 for the 12" sub. I picked up another pair of Polk Momo's for the rear. Transom and driver remote, XM receiver, 6 disc, sub control knobby... I'm happy. The nice part is he built an acrylic enclosure for the subs so you can still store your shiz and they don't get wet. I'm going to take it to WakeAir for the speaker install and some static from the depth sounder. I didn't realize their tower is stainless...HEAVY... but I guess it won't rust.

Brian @ Wakeair should take care of you he's a good guy. I'm also glad the previous owner spent the extra money on something other than a Monster tower, In my opinion they look bad on older boats. Congrats on the new ride...
