??Stupid question... but serious

Ok, I have a Tahoe Q6 Ski & Fish. It has a 220hp I/O. Will this boat be any good for wakeboarding? My 12 year old son has decided he wants to try it out. Is it worth installing a wake tower on?

Sure you can wakeboard.....you will notice that it is hard maintaining speed.

you can wakeboard behind anything, But i wouldn't install a tower on it until your son gets pretty into it and actually needs the tower.

Jerry, I have a 06 Q4 Sport (190hp I/O)although I do have the factory tower and haven't had a lick of trouble boarding behind it. I have also switched to a 21P from the factory 23P. Mine hasn't been hard at all to maintain speed at all. The wake isn't terrible even for a friend of mine who has been boarding for a couple years now. He shouldn't have any trouble at all learning behind your Q6.

My last boat was a 1998 Tahoe Q5. We had the optional 225 hp on it, and had a great time boarding. The wake is ok, but was MUCH better when we sacked it out with a 600lb. in the back, and a 600lb. Under the ski locker. A tower is must, but only invest if he likes boarding. If you want, I can send you some pictures, the tahoe looks SICK with the monster tower. Ok, lemme get back to you on that, I think I still have em...hang on.
