Lake weeds - do the prop cutters work?

Hey Everyone,

The lake where I ride is filled with weeds and the prop is constantly dragging an armful of weeds around. Sometimes there is so much junk stuck in the prop, the boat will not even backup up when I put it in reverse.

Does anybody have experience with the many different prop weed/rope cutters? Here are a couple I found searching the web.

won't have to worry about rapping your rope around the prop with one of those. The second one looks like a my medieval weapon of choice.
