I was just looking at some older Hyperlite bindings and thought it was weird that MSRP prices were higher on some models 3 model years ago (2003) compared to the same model bindings in 2006.

Any thoughts? Obviously, most bindings don't sell at MSRP but I thought this was weird that prices "appeared" to be going down...which doesn't seem like the case in reality.

The MSRP's are definitely on the decline. There are a few factors to keep in mind. One is the competitions pricing. CWB took a big bite out of the competition this year with extremely competitive pricing and innovative products. MSRP on their top end binding was well under the $400 mark. Also keep in mind than much (if not all) of the binding manufacturing has found its way over seas. Last, that I know of, is that the quantity of bindings produced goes up every year keeping production costs lower.
