I'm met this guy on myspace, and couldn't beleive it. This kid only has one leg and goes BIG. I messaged him and told him how shocked and utterly impressed I was. He wrote back, thanked me and went on to tell me he is a wakeboarding instructor too. I also asked him if I could tell the guys and gals on wakeworld.com about him, he said yes and add him as a friend if you want.

here's his link http://www.myspace.com/Wakeboading2GoBigOrGoHom

for those of you without myspace here's some pics.

Hopefully he'll be out here in Orlando for the O&P games July 29th http://www.extremitygames.com

MaybeI'll be able to take some pictures of the Wakeboarding event.

Add: I wonder if Brandon Poser knows him? This kid graduated from Liberty HS in Bakersfield 2004.

Its a really great thing this thread was started.
I dont go quite as crazy as the guy on top, but Im getting there. Im a para, and have been skiing for 15 years. I do slalom the best, but love to wakeboard as well. These pics should give you guys something to think about.

He throws it down better than me with 2 legs, I love it when I see people not letting challenges like only having one leg put a stop to enjoying life..

MAJOR PROPS!

Hell yeah! Swerver that is tight. Your deck looks like the one CC Roberts uses, I'm not sure if you know that story but if not he was pro that was in an auto accident, now he shreds a board just like yours.

I'd really like to see what CC is using now... I assume he has now found what I am using. His first deal was bolting an actual seat of a wheelchair to a board.... if I did that, I'd suck! I was looking of a pic where I popped the double up.. but cant find right now :-( I've been featured in sports illustrated for kids, and a few other mags, including wakesurfer. I love to wakesurf too! Oh, and not like this is the for sale section, but Im selling my boat if anyone wants it. Its a 2002 Calabria Shortline Comp, for $19k Loaded. Find it in the for sale section. :-)

:-) in the photos skiing section. thats a friend of mine's site, lots of photos on there of disabled boarding. and lots of not-so-disabled boarding.

RIDE ON!!!

Determanation & Drive - anything is possible if ya got it, mad props to all!!! If anyone hasn't seen the FLIC called Defining Sickness by 220 films, pick it up - its a collabaration of X-sports vids. Nick Papas of CHUMP industries has a section on a board very simillar to Swerver & tears it up...

live 2 ride - ride 2 live

Man that is cool. One of my friends actually lost his arm in a boating accedent and he is still going at it. It is awesome watching him. He still does back rolls flips too.

Ride hard

That's pure inspiration. I say again "Wakeboarding is life, it's not just a sport"

hey i know that guy with one leg, his name is Mario im not quite sure i spelled it right but he was just at my house the other day. Super cool guy doesn’t even look like he has one leg. haven’t had the opportunity to ride with him yet because of the rain but once the summer comes i get to see how big he goes in person. but as everyone said its sick for people with out as much as we have to still make up for it with heart and passion for the sport and try to take it to the next level, major props
