Vinyl seats are hardening..???

My seats on my 99 Mobius are getting really dry and hard. It is covered and in a shelter. I use armural whips but it doesnt seem to help..
Can I do anything about this?

I've heard that Armor All is not good for vinyl. It allegedly "dries" the vinyl. Check out meguiars, 303, or starbrite products.

I hate to say it, but it might be too late for your vinyl. I had the same problem with my 98 Mobius that I purchased brand new. The vinyl stayed in good shaped until about fall 2002. Then it got dry, hard, and started cracking badly.

I just traded it in a couple of months ago for a new boat and had about 500 dollars knocked off in trade in value. However, I traded in extra equipment to get the value back so it worked out.

If yours hasn't cracked yet, you can try this but there is no gaurantee. You are supposed to use Fantastik for cleaning and 303 protectant for moisture and protection. Don't use Armorall or anything other than fantastik and 303. The Armorall actually makes it worse. The dealers told me about this when I traded my boat in. They only use the fantastik and 303 protectant since it will keep the vinyl clean and protected for many long years. You can try using it now, but it might be too late.
So like you, I learned too late and had to either replace my vinyl or upgrade to a new boat.
