I had to go way back to get an I/O shot. I/O's can be sick. Plus, sometimes you just have to take what you can get. I would way rather ride behind any type of boat than not ride at all.

Great riding man! Way to make the best of it, there are plenty of people rocking X-Stars who can't throw down like that.

Man you're boosting off that wake, nice riding. I would throw up some pics of ours but I don't have any on this computer. Not very photogenic at the moment sitting in the driveway at the old man's house waiting for some post-winter love before she's back on the water.

I think it's an old Wake Design tower (rat cage), it started life black but I had it powder coated... It's pretty nice and solid as hell, even with my speakers...

Thanks Christian! Both our donzis are in the shop =[ the 22 classic (yellow) we bought a few months ago and its being worked on and re-painted its no rush though, Itl be done sometime this winter and we'll get to take it out on the winter glass bundled up in 3 layers and see what 80 feels like . I snapped the port side trim tab off the x-18 jumping ferry waves in Lake chelan so its been out since mid July. Its a whole nother type love with those 2 donzis compared to a wake boat.

Hi guys. What you can see on the pic is a Peugeot 206 SW, it is allowed to haul trailers up to 2420 pounds. The boat is a 16ft canadian Nordic which is 820 pounds of hull, 375 pounds of engine (F80), 330 pounds of gear and fuel, on the water 500 pounds of fat sacs and on the road 700 pounds of trailer. Seen that the tow vehicle is ways too wheek to climb up the ramps on the lakes there is a electric whinch in the box in front of the trailer. We place the car on top of the ramp and we let the trailer winch itself up the ramp. It works perfectly. As said the boat runs on 2.5 gallon per hour, with a pretty nice wake (remember the ratio size/weight of the boat). By the way top speed at wot is 41 mph. Trailering gas consumption is 26 miles per gallon. Btw, over here the gas price is 6.5 $ per gallon. Cool set up, isn't it?

Great idea Andy. Of course you could always find an old T16 engine that might fit in there. Then you'd pull up the ramps without a problem. OK, the fuel economy would go down some but it would sound really good.

Thanks Art. The problem going up the ramp is not the power, it's the weight on the front axle (traction). Even the biggest agricultural tractors are never as powerful as big as they are. Btw, we do not need big wakes, at the cables there are no wakes anyway. Doing good tricks @ small wakes, that's our point... And over that never ever overload your boats, please... so the more ballast on board the less girls you may take with you ;-)

"Mike its my dads, If I remember its from New Hampshire?" Yes, Rochester/Gonic N.H. Small world.I drove by that boat everyday on my way to work. Ric Perrault is the guy who owns that place.(Evergreen RV.) Nice looking piece. Probably spent it's life on Lake Winnippisaukie before it left for Seattle.

Wes, it's a priviledge to be behind a boat...period. I learned the basics behind Chaparrels (sp?) and Bayliners. I didn't get behind a vdrive until I was almost 30! My point is, you can still pull some sick tricks behind any boat, when you get the skills. You'll eventually get there!

^^Yeah I know. I guess I'm a little spoiled since I grew up around boats living ten minutes from the river. I also learned how to board when I was 12 years old behind a late model X-Star (pre-pickle fork bow ) ever since then, I haven't been priveledged to ride behind a boat with a tower. I still enjoy wakeboarding though. When I'm in the moment, I end up just being happy to be riding in the first place.

Wes, start practicing D-Ups. Before our boat (that good ole faithful Sea Ray 180 up there!) had a tower, i relied on double ups for any tweaking of a grab or anything like that, and its best to learn them early so when you get behind a real boat you can throw down!

Jarrod, can you take some close ups of the Bimini top...we have a Q6 with the same kind with the factory tower, but I cant put my tower speakers where yours are...mine are to the side. I'm wondering if maybe we put the bimini on wrong, or maybe its just different, it seems to fit tight and work well how it is, just annoying that the speakers are on the sides...

Thanks Jarrod...Im wondering if we put our on wrong or if the design has changed because where we zip the bimini to the tower, it has 2 sections to zip, front of tower and back of the tower...Ill try to take some pics of it because I'm now wondering if we mounted the tower speakers wrong too or if they could be moved to the top of the tower...

Jarrod, I looked at ours and it is different from Tahoe apparently. Ours is made to go on the back one and zip up onto the back one. I looked at it and then realized, the actual Zip boot has a cutout for the tow point on the tower, so I guess my speakers stay where they are...Oh well, Anyways, I also wanted to put up the pics here too... 2008 Tahoe Q6 Sport. In the Pics we are running 600lbs ballast, but I have bought more bags and we now run about 1400lbs. Trim is 1/2 up Wake is awesome now, have Perfect Pass Stargazer as well. Here is my I/O pride. I bought a 19' 1973 aluminum StarCraft with a 140hp motor when I was 18. When I bought it the throttle was in such bad shape we had to use vice grips as the throttle handle until I earned enough for a morse. Then I spent a small fortune and bought a 5.7 chevy and my brother and I put that in the boat. I didn't know anything about engines at the time and bought a completely stripped down, not even a water fuel separator, engine that was about 260hp at the prop. Then after 6 props and a home made tower and a jimmy-rigged gunnel boom. I had a pretty sweet board boat. We have to put two 700 pound sacs in the front to carve a nice wake. The thing is a pain and is a money drain. This year I finally have the green light on the boat of my choice, but this I/O will always hold fond memories for me.

Dave, nice..that was my first I/O I bought myself too. I bought it in 2007, kept it for 3 months after putting about 1200 into it and buying it for 1200. Said too much money is dropping into this thing so I bought the Tahoe...Here is a pic of my first..a 1973 Starcraft Holiday... Dave..Did yours look similar? its all Aluminum hull too (Message edited by silvermustang35 on December 14, 2008)

yeah that is the exact model. Except when I bought it the interior was pea green. We had a teak ski platform built and totally re-did the interior to give it wrap around seating. That's awesome there are more of these out there, I'll have to see if I can find some pics of before and after.

Jarrod, I was looking at your profile and had noticed that you are in OK. Are you near Glenpool? I bought mine at Sundown Marine since the local dealer wouldn't sell it to me since "they didn't think I could afford it" even after I was approved instantly...sigh...
