So I made this custom fiberglass speaker box for my tower and wanted you guys to check it out and give me your opinion. I've been thinking about building a few more and trying to sell them cause a bunch of friends have been saying I should. So let me know if you think I should and how much you would pay for a box setup similar to this.

only if you can sell 'em at a kick ass price and not be in the red. otherwise, people are pretty set on buying from established companies since they have pretty good warranties and all.

That is really nice looking. Do you have any pictures of the process? Not trying to steal your method or anything, I am just curious as to how you did it.

Thanks guys. I got the idea for this fiberglass box from this website.

http://www.bierbower.net/diytower/pdfs/FiberglassSpeakerBox.pdf

I followed what this guy did to get started and then once i got started just kinda winged it. It was a fun project and I worked on it for what seemed like forever. I did take pictures but can't ind them. I ordered the clamps off ebay and used trailer light hook up for the speaker wire connection. Seems to have worked out fine.

Haha after seeing this thread and the sweet fiberglass box you made I googled around a bit to see if there were any tips on how to do it and landed on that same site. I think I might try to make one while there's still 3 feet of snow on the ground. Hope mine turns out half as nice as your, great job man!

Thanks WD! It took me a few months to complete it. Mainly because I had other things going on but it could definitely be accomplished within a few days if you dedicate some time to it. I'm thinking about making a few in the next few weeks and seeing how much I can get for them. I won't be making the next boxes as deep though. All that extra space isn't necessary and took alot of extra time when sanding and finishing. So hope it doesn't take as much time. Good Luck to you WD.

Alan,
wasn't trying to take credit or anything, but "this guy," jim aikens put the instructions out there for everyone.
Thanks Jim if you're out there!
I'm gonna make some different variations to the box though. I had alot of fun making it and some something to do with my spare time since i have no job after graduating. This isn't the best time to graduate from college. hah
