Hmmm, looks like a serious case of shrinkage just waiting to happen.

We had a drysuit so it wasn't that bad. If he hadn't brought it I was going in with just a shorty.

J Jakober ~~ I have no idea! Jesse ~~ Not so bad with 75 deg., it was almost a treat to hit the water and cool down. A dry suit and 75 is like a steam room.

love the shots with mt timp in the back ground. skied there a bit when i was a kid, do the still refer to the lake as "ski the scum" when the water turns over?

J Jakober, that was the Vice 136 that Chris J sent me to test last May. It did have the Delta base on it and noticed that the board was much faster then the previous model without it.

Ryan, Thanks man. I was sure it looked like it had the Delta Base. Glad to hear that you noticed the difference. Josh, What did you think of it?

Yeah Jason, I was stoked to be able to ride at a little slower speed again because of the base. Are you still riding the Natural? I'm trying to convert all my riding buddies to Obrien and got another one on a Natural this year. I haven't talked to Chris in about a month but have you heard anything on the bindings lately? Josh said he didn't feel that great on it, but that's the way I felt coming off the vision, and I had to use the crook fins for the first season. Once I got a feel for how it hooked up when I took it to edge, it was all good. Josh is coming off the Parks where it tracks hard to the wake and I'm sure it felt much looser then he's use to. Plus, I think the 136 is probably a little too small for him.

Everything on the board for me was really nice. I really liked the consistent pop off the wake and the landing were even better. I have always rode with fins and coming from the Parks this board was really tough for me to hold a TS approach to the wake. I'm going to take it out again and hope of good water and see if I can get another feel for it without the fins. Now I did get a chance to ride the GB without the fins and had no problem with holding an edge. I don't think I have gone bigger TS than I was going with the GB. I know, it was the size to small RONIX bindings that did it . My third set I went back to the Obrien but I was so tired it was not a good set. I usually take one last Grab session to end the day and it just could not ride the board how it was suppose to be ridden.

Josh, what side of the lake do you ride at? I can't wait to get out on the water again. I'll have to freeze because all I have is a wetsuit. You guy's look too good already, especially for being the start of the season.

Levi ~~ I ride on what ever side the boat is going on, I'm a professional boat whore . Mostly we ride on the North side of the lake from Pelican Bay to Provo Harbor. You know some of the pictures turned out pretty good for the sets that I had. I was on two new boards and two new bindings, I felt really good taking 3 sets but really tired and sore now. Send me a picture of your Calibria and if we every pass I will catch an edge while passing you. Hope to see ya on the water.

Matt ~~ I would go Pelican then American Fork and last but not least Provo, if your talking driving time. If you talk ramps it would be backwards, Provo great ramp, American Fork getting steeper, and Pelican the drop off. Can't wait for the next ride!

Levi & Matt ~~ He has a great point on this Matt. I know willard is really nice with no people but so is UT Lake this time of the year. If you guy's come down and need somebody to fill a seat in the boat give me a shout and we can work it out. I'm free most every Sunday and Monday! Now let's get over to the find a third thread and get it all worked out .

EJ, Tag case the wake on the landing in that pic but rode much better on his second set once we got his speed figured out on Matt's boat. With the sun out and the warm air temp, it was definitely rideable in shorts. I wasn't expecting that at all so I just brought my drysuit, no vest, otherwise it would've been shorts for sure. I wouldn't recommend anyone coming out to Willard though, the water levels are still really low and you have to get into that icky water in the marina to push the boat just to get into the main lake and then worry about tearing your prop off on one of those underwater islands.

EJ, Tag and Shima raised the bar of expectations on my boat significantly! I told Levi "Game over!" Shima's performance was insane, Tags also! Ryan you need to coach me some more, I cant get enough of that. As for Trunkin it the award goes to my little 7 year old boy who was so anxious to check out the swim platform and "kerplunked" it right in on accident, he was out in seconds! It was comical

Yes, having Ryan in the boat is like a year of riding in a day. Always amazed at the things that he notices and even more amazed at the result of changes that he can suggest.... I admit that I have not taken advantage of having him around enough.... Maybe this year will be different.
