This boat popped up locally. I haven't gotten the guy to return my calls so I figured I'd ask here. What year/model and how $much$ would you think would be reasonable to ask for this thing? (I'll tell you what he's asking after I get a few responses.)

16k with that interior? No way. All I gotta say is where is this? Look how cheap gas is. I just paid $3.80/gal this morning.

95 and I'd offer 13k. Needs some love... But it does have the engine upgrade. If you put a bunch of weight in this boat is assure you, the wake will get pretty nice.

a few years back I looked at a similar model with about the same appearance to the interior. THey were asking $9000, which I though was too much. I wouldn't pay even that for this boat. The entire interior needs to be completely re-done. Plus, if the interior is that bad, I could only imagine what the floor under the carpet looks like.

I say it is a 95 or 96. with gt40 injected and those letters. That makes it worth a little bit but with the thrashed interior, I would say it is in the 14k range as far as worth with the tower. It the interior was decent, I would say it is a 16k or so give or take with hours.

It is a 1996, that is the first year of the clamshell motor cover.

Yes, in good condition it is probably worth $15k maybe. So if you have to put $2k in an interior or so. Then I would offer $11-12k.

Either you guys are nuts or prefer to spend your time restoring instead of out riding. $9K-$10K

I agree Tanner. 11-12k will get you a boat in much better condition that you could add a brand new tower and accessories to.

I agree it's a 96. But 12K sounds high. The interior is shat and that usually means it sat out side uncovered and not very well cared for. I had a 94 that was in excellent condition and definitely not babied. I'd be leary of other problems but for 9K, I'd accept them.

With that transom and GT-40, it's probably a 95 or 96. I have seen a Sport in that shape with a tower that went for around 13.5K. That interior looks pretty spent. The GT-40 is a great engine though, it has tons of power and parts are pretty readily available.

That boat used to be mine. I sold to guy about three and a half ago in a lot better condition than that. Dont know how many times it has changed ownership since then. I paid 16k for it and sold it for 16k a year later. It was a great boat for me. 96 ski nautique 196 dont remember how many hours it had
