I've been running the 2083 for a couple years now. I like it. Pulls a little bit stronger than a 911, though it's not a huge difference. You lose a few (more) mph on the top end for that low end...

Thanks for entertaining my old thread resurrection! ;) Did you just replace the gears yourself? Just got the rebuild kit from Walter directly? What prop did you end up with?

Hi Duffy or Tom,

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I couldn't seem to get private messages working for some reason. Did either of you follow through with re-gearing from 1:1 to 1:1.46. I've...

Sounds fuel related maybe? The flow is a lot higher running that hard than below it. Clogged fuel filter? Bad fuel pump? Too much water in the fuel water separator such that some is getting...

So just an update - I went with the 138 Lyman and have no complaints. This board is awesome! A lot of pop at the wake without it being too timing sensitive. It seems stiffer than other slingshot...

Is the Windsor a good board behind the boat? SS marketing materials make it sound like a cable park board.

Me: 165lbs, 5'11"
Wife: 125lbs, 5'10"

I'm not stuck on anything in particular, just like the slingshot boards and the wife liked the Oli. Not enough $$ to buy two setups.

Slingshot Oli vs. Lyman, Rocker, Size

Looking to buy a new board and thinking very seriously about the Slingshots. My wife and I ride the same board (currently a hyperlite state 140cm), same height and shoe size but I'm ~165 and she's...

I'm very happy with my Ridesteady as well. It takes some time to get the settings right for different amounts of ballast on my Sanger V215, but play a little and you'll be so happy you got it.

If by prop slip you mean that you were having to run higher RPMs at the same speed then I would think that's definitely possible. You have an additional source of drag in the water so the engine has...

I'd imagine you would be better off with the 525 overall. I'd say just don't expect a night and day difference after plopping down ~$400 for a prop. If you're ok with that, the 525 would definitely...

I should have specified that I was speaking to the Black Scorpion on the v215. This motor has a WOT spec of between 4800-5200RPMs. This is what your motor should run WOT with your normal load. If...

I've talked extensively with Acme about prop changes as I'm at 6000' heavily weighted. I don't know which hull Sanger you're curious about, but I can tell you that on a V215 you will gain ~286RPMs...

Thanks! Yeah we're planning on going to that this year. We were looking for people prior to that though as well! ;) If we find some COS peeps at the meet and greet that'll be great.

Acme 2083 on a Sanger

Has anyone run an Acme 2083 on any Sangers? I picked up an Acme 911 (10.5" pitch) since I brought the '05 v215 up to 6000' altitude, which ran pretty good but was didn't have quite as much holeshot...

That's true about the matching gauges. The Ridesteady gauge sure is nice though. I don't have any of the fancy new boats/gauges so the Ridesteady gauge seems to improve the look of my dash overall....
