I agree with the G21 being a bit finicky side to side but I really didn't find it that tough to adjust - any Malibu or Axis is better. It's a bit surprising that people are saying they're similar in...

I had a Ronix Bandwagon in the past and as mentioned it is very slow - from what I've heard the bandwagon is the slowest of the camber boards . I switched to the One (ATR) a couple years ago and...

Yep, in Calgary. I looked at Kanuk boards but i haven't heard a lot about them and figured it would be safer to go with a company with more history. We bought a phase 5 skim last year but she really...

New board suggestions

I know this is like opening a can of worms but I figured I'd ask anyways. I want to get my wife a new surf board for Christmas. I know it's best to demo boards but our lakes are pretty hard right...

Have a look at Freedom Wake Park. I've rode at all three and they're all good but Tarah and Cobe helped me significantly more than the other two. I only did 5 sets with them at the beginning of this...

I find it depends on how many people we have on board. When there are only 4 or 5 of us we don't use it much but if we have more we use it all the time. There is a bit of climbing over seats but it...

Where in Southern AB are you? I live in Calgary and have a place in Gull. There are about 10 of us that board out in Ghost once or twice a week and pretty much never surf. We're often looking for a...

They're all great boats these days. Some do some things a little better than others - cleaner wakeboard wake at slow speeds, better rough water handling, more adjustable surf wake,..... but...

It's really depressing to hear that releasable bindings could and should be made but aren't because companies don't want to get sued. I always wondered why they haven't been developed but assumed...

Yep. Here's a video of a 450 and 409 acceleration times which might be helpful. The beep is when you reach set speed. If you look at the time on the video it looks like about 7 seconds. He said full...

2014 was the first year of the 2:1. Our yearly trips are at 1,150 ft of elevation. The boat gets up to speed quick with a crew of 8 - I didn't time it but I'm guessing between 10 and 15 seconds.

It depends on boat year, elevation and what you plan on doing with it. In 2015 they changed to a 2:1 vdrive that helped and 2016 changed to the new PCM H6 which is better and changed the hull...

Shaun Murray can ride a 2X4 (or a bucket) so it's obvious boards don't matter.

Everybody knows that all you need to do to ride like the pros is go buy a G23 or Xstar or Supra. :D

Doesn't Bonnier own learnwake.com as well? Attention to that site has also been terrible the last couple years. It's really too bad as that was a great resource while it was going.

It's an older G23 as well (pre 2016). I'm not sure about the 550 but the new H6 gets much better fuel economy than the old 450.

I agree that you get a more vertical wake in the pre-2016 G23 by adding weight but you can also do the same by dropping weight in the front. My favorite setting is about 22mph with approx half...

I talked to the dealer and he suggested the 2018 SL as well but it was about $10K more than the SA. They are also a MC dealer and a decently loaded 2018 xstar was less than $20K more (just to throw...
