Yes, his wave is a bit bigger but has the same flattish profile. He has the fiberglass platform and I think it drags more than the teak one in the video.

It looks like bad casting combined with fatigue. From the oxidation on the shaft, it had some hairline cracks before snapping off during a routine turn.
