Thanks so much for your insight. It's so weird for me to go from a boat that I know as well as the back of my hand to a boat that I know so little about. It has the 750 pound PNP rear sacs, and the...

Thanks! It's a 2017. I'm not sure about the gear ratio. I looked through the owners manual but it doesn't seem to say, and the boat is at the marina.

Picking a prop for an Axis T22

Hey guys, after 20 years with my 1999 x star I got a new (to me) Axis T22. It has the monsoon 410 and an Acme 2277 prop. With the ballast fully loaded and a few people in the boat it really...

Just FYI Rinda Technologies sells a code reader for about 100 bucks. It's nice to have. I'd change the plugs and wires too. Good luck!!

I vote for tweeters! You'd blaze new ground in the marine audio world, which is almost impossible on wakeworld these days. My second vote is for the pop up cleats, which is an excellent and much...

Just FYI, for my then 6 year olds, 60 feet was the sweet spot for getting them up and riding. This still gave them a nice upward pull, but put them behind the worst of the wash. Good luck!

This is a great idea! There will undoubtedly be some trial and error involved, but I love the concept. If it does bounce as some have predicted, I wonder if you could get it to ride in the curl of...

Ha! I can't believe I have to list my old trusty mule over. Watch - after 1600 hours, thousands of starts, hundreds of double ups, she's gonna blow up towing a surfer.

How to set up a Mastercraft 205V for surfing?

I have a 99 star. My uncle is coming tomorrow to ride with me, and he's a surfer. I don't surf, and have absolutely no idea what the best setup for my boat is. I know I don't have a great surf...

I ride both a Recoil and a Timebomb, and I think you'd probably have more fun behind your fishing boat on a Recoil. It's much looser than the Timebomb (and your Trip), and will open you up to a...

Got my guys up on a wakeboard for the first time!

After spending a year on combo waterskis, I finally convinced my just turned 7 twins to give wakeboarding a try. (They snow ski like banshees, so I started with waterskis.) To my amazement, they...

A friend of mine purchased a 1999 Mastercraft Maristar 210 VRS with about 500 hours for $10,000 a few months ago. It's a great boat. Lots of room for a 99 (I think it has a 95 inch beam or...

I think you'll be totally fine with the 3 x 5 plates. My tower was missing a plate on 1 of the 4 legs (it was just attached to fiberglass) and I didn't notice it for nearly a decade. I guess it...

To slow down or not to slow down - that is the question

I'd really love to learn a few (actually, I'd be happy with one) new tricks this year. I've got a (small) handfull of inverts and a wrapped 3. I'm 40, and although I hate to admit it, falls just...
