Most I/O's can be trimmed to put out a nice wake, but won't have the flexibility of an inboard. Go ride behind it and see for yourself if the wakes look good. There aren't many wakeboarding boats...

That's how the system works - if there's not enough water to pump, then the pump only runs 10 sec. then shuts off. Nothing wrong with the system.
