Joe,

Last year Proflight sold their 65 lb coated new lead bars for about $50 each at the boat show. And, on the last day of the show they were blowing them out for $35 each - I got 6 - I guess they did not want to ship them back.

The same new lead uncoated can be purchased for $0.50/lb at ALCO in San Leandro (just south of the Oakland Airport off of 880).

http://www.alcometals.com/default.htm

Coating can be done by the novice but it costs and it is a lot of work. I recommend Proflight. They do a real nice job.

What about so.cal. I can get lead Ingot bricks for $0.96 a lbs down here but $.50 a lbs. sounds better. Coat them with a do it yourself paint on bed liner like line-x?

I went to the show last Saturday and they wanted $60 for a 65lb bar. Maybe I should go there this Sunday.............
