Should I buy a 2004 MC X-9

I've been wakeboarding for about 5 years behind my old roomates 1994 Malibu Surof. My girlfriend and I moved to Cali and am looking to buy a boat of our own. We found a 2004 Mastercraft X-9 at a reasonable price and was looking for any input on this boat. If it is a nice boat would anyone have any suggestions or comments on how it drives, how the wake is, or if it is worth buying all together as a wakeboarding boat.

Gracias
Peace
Darrell

Since it is a D drive, it will handle like a sports car. Since you are pretty experienced, the wake might not be up to par. Is there a reason you are not looking at a V drive? If not, I would see if you could find one in your price range.

I have had a 2001 MC 209 for the last 5+ years. Same boat as the X-9, without the stock tower and built in ballast. I needed a cross-over boat so I could ski with a good wake and still be able to get a decent wakeboarding wake. I will say it does that pretty well. I do more wakeboarding/surfing now than ski, so I will likely trade up to a v-drive next year. I have enjoyed this boat, it is pretty quick, handles well and produces little to no ski wake. When sacked out, you can get a reasonable wakeboarding wake for an intermediate rider but I have had some great riders pull more tricks than I expected behind my boat. The surf wake is not great, it is ok but if you are into surfing this boat will not make you happy for the long run. The interior is nice, not too big not too small but gets really crowded with more than 6 peeps. It is a great all around boat, especially for the price. If you have any specific questions, hit me up.
