Darren, is that some sort of surf option? I am guessing the camera is an option? The screen and dash look pretty sick. What boat is that on and how f'ing much is the MSRP on it with all those options.

It is an X2, the tabs are a surfing option that can dial in the wave. The camera will record you and then you can download it to a USB stick. I can't wait to play with all the cool options on this boat. Sitting in the boat the dash doesn't seem to be any higher than last years model.

I like how most boar builders are now going back to more squared off dash forms.. and simple switches... yet when Supreme did that with their new V226 they got bashed for it... <BR> <BR>When Tige talks about TAPS they get bashed for it... <BR> <BR>But now that Mastercraft is doing it... its all good! <BR> <BR>Whew!!! I am sure glad MC is using other companies ideas... else no one else would have an acceptable product.

Since when is tige taps system on the side like surf tabs? <BR>Tige got bashed cause they advertised it as a wake enhancing device and no need for ballast. Not for having TAPS. Taps is good. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by tyler97217 on July 29, 2009)

I got to look at one at the factory on Monday. I don't think the gauge obstructs the view any more than the old one did. It also looks better in person than the pictures show. The boat I looked at did not have the tower mounted camera though.

We run a wakeboard school here and that tower camera is going to be great! You can take your set home with you after the lesson.

I surfed behind one on sunday! The X2 was built on wednesday and my bud got it into the dealership on Friday! It was very nice and had tons of room in in. The dash was crazy insane, not sure yet if i like the whole concept. A flick of the surf tabs and the plate was down for either port side or starboard side surfing. Didn't get to board behind it but from what my buds said that got to, they all said it was a soft wake. The tab on it for him was 90k I'll see if i can get a picture from him to post.

I like those new steps on the corner of trailer too - anyone else notice that change? Great for grabbing stuff out of lockers when the boat is on trailer.

Also looks like they did away with the new style transom step they offered in 2009 and went back to the old one. Wonder why. The new one was actually pretty functional as a seat/step. <BR> <BR>Different stereo remote too. Wonder which unit this is - and curious which stereo head the 2010 has.

Same transom same trailer no diff. But that dash is just plain fugly WTF

Dang seems like we need a new boat. I love the camera option. The new dash looks good. I think I like my cans on our 08 a little better but I sure wish I had a bigger LCD screen like that.

jerry, <BR>the stereo remote is still a clarion along with the head unit. Looks like they just changed the driver's side remote. The transom step is still available, we just didn't order it on this X2. I want to take this boat to the water next week and I'll report back.

Yep, Sanger came out with those last year, right? Competition is good. I hope all the towboat companies stay in business and/or no mergers. Should help the consumer. <BR> <BR>I wish MC would jump on the Pure Vert ballast trend....

looks just like an 09 on the exterior... they should have changed up the graphics IMO.

I think Mastercraft like the other guys should be saving money right now where they can to weather the storm. I would expect new graphics when the economy is rolling again. Plus it keeps my 08 graphics looking pretty fresh
