Leather care
 

My wife and I just bought a new car with leather interior. It's the first rig I have had with leather so I'm wondering what is a good "spot cleaner" (we have a 3 year old).l Also, what should we use for a conditioner? We normally keep our rigs 10+ years so I want to make the leather last as long as possible.

Tint all your windows. That does as much(good) to your leather as conditioner does.

They are all tinted, except for the driver and passenger doors. That will be getting done this week. I'm also pricing out clear vinyl paint protection to keep the rock chips down.

I use lexol. They have a cleaner and a condishner. Both products work good. I have found that the condishner . Or what ever comes in the brown bottle does both and you only need to use that stuff. The cleaner is a clear gell like liquid that IMO does no better job at "cleaning " then the condishner. So if you just use the condishner you can delete the cleaner. Try both you might have diffrent results.
The thing I like about this stuff is I haven't found a leather product that has not liked it or reacted to it. It's very mild and most likely will not hurt you
Leather as alwasy try it on a small out of the way section first to make sure it works well with your type of material.

Clear Bra was the best investment I have ever made on a vehicle. I have faux leather in my car so no help there. I put the clear bra 1/3 up the hood, the entire front bumper area, on all the lenses, mirrors, behind each wheel and kick panel below the doors. The one I should have done is around the rear bumper where it meets the trunk.

I will second lexol products. Very well respected name in leather care...and can be found at most auto stores.

BUT.....most leather is " coated" leather and does not require conditioning...just cleaning every once in a while. Over conditioning can actually do more harm than good.
