02 x30 or 07 moomba outback v

both the same price the outback has 107 hours looks to be In mint condition the x30 has 400 hours and needs the interior replaced but has an awesome custom wrap and more options. I think the Moomba is stock. which would be a better all around wakeboard /surf /family boat

x30

having had the supra 20ssv, almost a twin to the outback v, with that choice, I'd take the x30 but honestly, I'd keep looking.
not sure what your pricepoint is but 400hrs and new interior would be a watchout. custom wraps could be for looks but could be hiding hull issues if it needs a new interior at that few hours.

all my .02
should be lots of boats showing up in the next month or so.

My bro-in-law just sold his '02 X30 for $27+ and it had less than 400 hours and needed new interior as well. I just sold an '02 Malibu VLX that we put almost $3500 in new interior into. The X30 is 23 ft so I'd expect a few hundred more or so for the interior cost. Wraps make me nervous like sandm01 mentioned due to hiding scratches or maybe worse. I know you've been looking for a little bit but unless you're getting a smoking deal on either one and willing to put some time, money, and elbow grease into them, I'd keep searching. Personally it drove me crazy going to the lake and seeing all these sweet boats and then ours with the trashed interior. Not a big deal to some, but it kinda sucks to buy a boat and immediately have it in the shop for a few weeks to a month getting vinyl work done.

I didn't think about the wrap hiding problems, that's a really good point. they guy has had the boat for 14 months put an new stereo , wrap in side and out, bearings and tires on the trailer and rebuilt the ballast motors. that seems like a lot of money for a boat your selling but he says he needs the money for a house, sounds reasonable.

Love my X30. Great all around boat only lacks a flat slalom wake. Big family then go for the bigger boat. And 400 hours is not much for a 2002. I got my 2004 with 250 hours and put another 50 on it in a short Canadian season. That one has an average of 33 a year on it only. More important than hours is the boat condition. You can ask for pre wrap photos. If he doesn't have any then I would assume you have a gel oat problem underneath it and walk away.

If you are talking about the X30 on seattle craigslist that thing looks beat. It has been for sale for a really long time as well. He keeps dropping the price. I think a mint condition 02 X30 is worth high 20's at best in the Seattle area. That boat to me is worth low to mid 20's tops and that is if it passes a full mechanical inspection and I got to see it with the wrap off first.

I think im going to pass on it, I talked to a boat repair place in Denver and they said there was no way to really tell the extent of the damage with the wrap on it and its a long way for me to go to get it, there are so many other boats for sale its not worth the risk.
