So this is totally separate from the Utah Surfest in July?

Yes. it's a different event with a different purpose. Surfest 2015 is similar to the Souther Surfest that took place in early May. 2 full days of surfing, 10+ boats, 50+ boards to demo. Both events will be fantastic for our sport!
