what the heck do you do with your trash?

I tie a bag up behind the drivers seat.....but have always been curious what the heck everyone does for all of the empties?

DenverRider 05-10-2013 3:59 PM

I use the compartment under the passenger seat. It's supposed to be a cooler but it's a lot easier to bring an actual cooler than to use that one. I noticed at the boat show that some of the new boats have trash receptacles. Of course the hinge was so flimsy that it looked like the first thing that would break. Amazing how much cheap construction is still used on a bran new 80K boat.

I throw mine in my ski locked in front of my fat sack

volzalum 05-10-2013 4:20 PM

By the time I have enough trash to worry about, we are usually through riding and in to party mode, so I use the ice bags and place the full ones in the back locker over the drained fat sacs.

biggator 05-10-2013 4:31 PM

Umm.. built-in trashcan.

ktm525 05-10-2013 4:47 PM

We got one of these and have it stuck to the side of the opening in the rear starboard locker. It works awesome.

use the built-in ice chest, too. a regular ice chest is just easier than carrying everything to the boat and transferring to the built-in.

We don't bring food onboard, but all the empty beer cans go back in the cooler..

johnny_defacto 05-10-2013 9:32 PM

One of the best features ever on my Tige Z3!! It's got a removable trash can underneath that I empty at the end of the day. Every boat should have one!

I have a gallon ice cream bucket that fits perfectly in a floor storage beside the drivers seat. Under the cover it can't be kicked. It is easy to forget though. :o

evil0ne 05-11-2013 8:58 AM

I use a no school affiliation version of these with a standard kitchen bag inside:

So it's your cans I step on! :fistshake:

raceman121 05-11-2013 10:42 AM

We took out the cup holder across from the drivers cabin and cut a hole in the bottom of it so you open the storage area where the batteries and amps are and pot a trash bag through the cup holder hole then put the cup holder with the hole in it back over the trash bag.

raceman121 05-11-2013 10:43 AM

put*

Bumpass1 05-11-2013 6:16 PM

Man, that's actually a great idea! My boat has around 20 cup holders. I just need to figure out which one would work for trash!

Now that I think about it though, I could see a drunk idiot dropping their phone in it or a full beer. That wouldn't be fun.

Vxmine 05-12-2013 7:03 AM

A $2 clear container from Walmart behind the drivers seat.

Just don't have drunk idiots on your boat. Problem solved!

We put empties back in the cooler. Just crush the sides in a little so no one mistakes them for full cans.

Dmac420sj 05-12-2013 1:43 PM

Or crush them down like a man!

loudontn 05-13-2013 6:33 AM

+1 for empty ice bags.

biggator 05-13-2013 2:37 PM

Seriously.. why don't more boat manufacturers put one in?

RonBurgundy 05-13-2013 5:14 PM

its actually odd....i like the trash sac idea so i ordered one but it would be pretty easy and literally everyone that uses a boat produces some sort of trash.

chrisbucklin 05-13-2013 5:41 PM

I love the trash can in the new sa!! They should have done this long ago!

ferral 05-13-2013 7:09 PM

My old i/o had a built in trash can in one of the compartments. I miss that, I really don't get why so few do it.

Gnargnar 05-13-2013 8:36 PM

+1 Empty ice bags in cooler
