College Football Thread

I have season tickets for UW football and had the pleasure of being there for the first game in the New Husky Stadium. It was great to just put a beat down on a ranked opponent. If UW can get over the hump and get to 8 or 9 wins plus a bowl win the sky is the limit. Husky Stadium is the best home field advantage and best stadium in the country. No other stadium has the combination of setting, history, world class facilities and loudness.

Although I didn't watch the game because I was tailgating my alma mater also got a big win taking down the Beavs in potato salad stadium.

Good weekend here..... Utah won, BYU lost.....

Even with a win this week and an assumed win this Saturday against Weber State, may be a long year for the Utes...... Just hoping for a win against BYU and to be bowl eligible....

SOOOOO happy CFB season is here!

Mike Leach is going some good up there in Washington. We got a win on the road with our rookie head coach and true freshman walk on qb. First half wasn't very pretty but they really picked up steam. Hopefully we can keep improving and make a good bowl game this year and knock off some top ranked teams. WRECK 'EM TECH!

Gig 'em! The Aggie hate (or I guess more so the JFF hate) is quickly growing. And yes, he is not doing himself any favors! It will be interesting to see how things play out this year. We have studs at all the skill positions, so if Johnny can stay even somewhat grounded this year, we should be in for a good season.

The Dawgs are out to a 4-0 start and have won all games comfortably. The best part is that I don't think they have even played that great in the first half of every game. They have left quite a few points on the board. The next 3 games for the Dawgs might be the toughest 3 game stretch any team in the nation has. Next week is going to be a really tough one going to Stanford and Stanford, after starting the season a little slow, has blasted 2 teams in a row and looks good. Then they get Oregon at home. Oregon might be the best they have ever been at this point. Then they go on the road to ASU who just spanked USC(not that USC is anything special). I actually don't think going 1-2 in that stretch is bad at all and if they can somehow pull out 2 wins in there they might only lose one or 2 games all year and could end up in the rose bowl if Oregon or stanford get in the Natty Championship.

I have no idea how LAne has even gotten a head coaching job. He is a frigging idiot and a douche. If anybody hires him as a head coach at any level that person should be fired. He is going to leave your program/team in a hot mess after not having any success. I wonder if JAck Del Rio ends up as the next HC of USC?

The Dawgs? You mean Georgia? That cannot be right. They lost a game and have a relatively "easy" schedule through the SEC from here on out. What other Dawgs are there?

Did I kill this thread? Or does nobody have anything useful to talk about now that all the PAC teams are not in contention?
It is amazing to me that an east coast ACC team actually has a shot at winning it all after the SEC teams have beat the crap out of each other.
