Which board?

I'm having trouble finding the right board for me. I like smaller skim boards. I don't want something so slick I can't stand up on it and I don't want want something so sticky I can't break it loose. I also want something that I'm not constantly having to push to keep up(I know part has to do with the wave). Some boards on the same wave keep me in the pocket easier than others. I don't want to constantly work. I'm 5'9 180 pounds. I also don't want to spend more than $600-650 if possible. Thanks!

Love my liquid force happy pill, it finds the wave for you , but ridiculously fragile epoxy board, love that board, the name is right as it consistently makes me smile on every single ride, I sh** you not. You can break it loose, do anything you want. I use the two small fins( that come spare, removed the back two fins and replaced with these)in the back holes, 2 big fins in next to forward holes as my setup

At 5.9 180, you could use any board of any size, learning great surfing technique is a lot more important than board choice, but most focus on the board instead of improving their surfing and tuning their wake, next weekend I am going to try and surf my 44 inch wake skate to prove it

as far as skims go.

I'd look at phase 5 diamond daniello, inland surfer keenan skim, or victory skims. all those in my opinion are the best and fastest skims I've ridden.

You can pick up a full carbon Victoria for $599, or the same shape in e-glass for $529. They are really stable for skimboards because the thin rail cuts and hold in the wake better.

I meant victoria, not victory skims.

Hyperlite hifi! Super gnarly board. You should check it out.
