100# 5 foot tall - Beginners board
 

I need some help. Although I've been riding for years a friend asked me for advise for a kids board and I had no idea what to recommend.

He is a beginner, 100#, 5 foot tall, 9 year old. Any advice would be appreciated.

There are many boards to chose from. I would suggest something in the 134 size range +/-

Molded fin boards with an optional/removable center fin seem to work well also. This way traction can be added or removed if desired.
